Ive been to several hotels in 38 different countries. Never before did I have as many “incidents” as in the two days I stayed here. There are better options in the area with similar or better price and definitely better quality.
ROOM: Advertised as a large twin bed, it was actually two single mattresses pushed together. This was very noticeable when sleeping, and the fact that one of the mattresses was sunk in the center certainly didnt help. No kettle or iron, we requested them, kettle didnt work. The AC makes the same sound as a small lawnmower (not an exaggeration), we had to turn it off. We found the seal broken and the bottle half empty for the shampoo included in the amenities ( one miniature bottle of shampoo and one of conditioner for a 2 person booking)
STAFF: -Check your bills very thoroughly if you decide to stay here- The lady at the desk at night when we checked in agreed on a price with me and then charged my card for over 150% of that amount. I found out because my bank sent me an sms, as she tried to hide this by sending me to my room. When I asked about this price difference, she ignored the question. When asked again, she turned around and left, then the night shift manager came in and just offered a discount to match the original price. No explanation or apology.
During breakfast one of the servers accidentally hit a couple of customers, me being one of them, and she just pushed through not even acknowledging our existence. A different one, when politely asked for a napkin to clean up a small spill on the table, pulled out a blue cloth with bad attitude and swept the table exhaling quite arrogantly, without saying a word as if we were bothering her.
During check out we politely let the person at the desk know we had a few incidents and he was patient enough to hear us out. Then mentioned he would discuss it with the manager, who was right next to him with another customer. I asked if it would be possible to speak with him myself instead once he finished and became available and he said there would be no problem at all. We patiently sat there waiting for Mr.Eduardo to finish and meet us. But after reception was cleared of customers, he went in to the back office and never came out. After about half an hour, we gave up and just decided to leave and happily continue with our visit to Santiago.
We did find a complimentary bottle of local sparkling wine in the room the second day (happened to be my birthday) that, and location is why I’m giving it 2 stars. I only ever saw two employees smile there, both of them were the cleaning ladies, who were...
Read moreI have to share this very bad experience at the BEST WESTERN MARINA LAS CONDES
My Name is Fabio F. Vieira Reserved from Sep 27th - 30th ( We are at the hotel still while writing this)
We Had the worse experience ever when we first arrived at 27th 3am in the morning at the BEST WESTERN MARINA , very tired from long flight in , we knew that we might not find room to stay half day until the original BOOKING 27th 3PM . The same 2 guys that are treating us very rudely every time we need something, looks like they turned us CLIENTS to enemy..
This 2 guys from the front desk knew us from that early morning mistreating us, they started to do thing very rudely when asked any information..
The breakfast that we were supposed to get at 5:20am 28th before going out to the tour was , the beg was missing things, no coffee no juice.. When my partner asked for something to drink they rejected all though had many many juices on the bar counter .. The front desk ( Angelo ) one night before the tour said that we would have sandwich, fruit, caffe or juice ..
I have a photo and video of the guys because they had no NAME TAGS ( very unprofessional), they work overnight and did not want to say names . and unfortunately we always need them because we are doing tours everyDay and have no support at all.. They become sone sort of enemy.
I have stayed in many hotel allover the world I was never mislead this way. It is like the person has something against us that we don’t even know. Very unfortunate.. they don’t need their clients??? Or maybe Best Western doesn’t provide good customer service...
Read moreI have never been treated so poorly and experienced such an embarrassing situation as this hotel made me go through. I went to Chile to celebrate my wife's birthday, who is wheelchair-bound. I booked the room on Booking.com and, as usual, I sent an email explaining her situation and requesting confirmation of a room with adaptation and a walk-in shower. I booked and confirmed with them two months in advance. A week before, I sent an email and everything was confirmed. When I arrived, not only did they not have the room reserved, it was occupied, and they told me that they hadn't reserved this room, asking for proof. After I showed the email confirming everything, they said they didn't have the room. I asked what could be done, and the night manager responded, "Find another hotel." It was 9:30 at night. Their lack of empathy towards guests was appalling; I have never felt such shame towards another human being in my life. To them, we are just another number. I had to leave at 10 p.m. to find another hotel that could accommodate her needs.|Avoid this hotel; I hope my testimony serves as a warning to everyone that this hotel doesn't care about its guests. I hope no one goes through what I...
