This hotel puts hospitality on another level. I stayed here for a week for work. On my fifth night, I slipped and fell on the sidewalk just outside the hotel. I scraped my knees and had a swollen vein on my wrist. In that moment, I could have fainted. I managed to walk up to the hotel and was greeted by Rodrigo who has been someone I have had the pleasure to converse with over the previous days. He got me a wheelchair, water and got me up to my room safely. I think I lost consciousness in the lift at some point on the way up but Rodrigo’s quick thinking helped safe the day. He got me an ice pack which immediately reduced the swelling on my wrists. He also gave me plasters for my knee which helped stop the bleeding at that point. The next morning I went in to work trying not to kill myself from all the pain. Upon my return, I found a note under my door from the concierge asking if I was okay and to call them to check in that I was feeling better. Many things about this hotel is just plain basic. Breakfast itself is mediocre. But getting a very human touch like this is worth returning for. Thank you, Rodrigo! If you ever had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, make sure you stop by...
Read moreI arrived tired...and needed to take some rest. Before that, I asked for some clothes hangers. I was waiting for about an hour but... I fell asleep, and to avoid any disturbance; I put the "DO NOT DISTURB" hanger in the door. After 15 minutes someone called me to tell me that I can't have my clothe hangers because I have a "DO NOT DISTURB" hanger in my door!!! It was really disrespectful. When I complained about the incident to the front desk clerk (I went to talk with the guy that called me), he doesn't asked even for an apology. I get frustrated not only about what it happened but how the person reacted when I went to talk with him about avoiding to disturb someone with the "DO NOT DISTURB" hanger in the door. Another day, people from room service called to my door with food that I haven´t requested. The last incident was when my wife realized that one of her pills was missing. (The pills look like candy. We know for sure the pill was taken by someone because we were counting them several times to ensure we had enough until the end of...
Read moreNice hotel, well located, room was fine, food is surprisingly affordable for a hotel so why only three stars... It's the repeated little things. An expensive hotel room which then wants to charge 1500 clp per (fake) Nespresso packet. An advertised free shuttle to the airport which is actually an overcharged (29000 clp) arranged taxi. A service to mail your postcards at 1000 clp per card when the postal rate is 430 clp. And maybe in the end it is simply that the staff is professional but not friendly. So on my next visit I will go back to the Courtyard Marriot (with their fabulous fruit assortment for breakfast) or to the lower end Ibis (with its closer location to the Metro) but I'm unlikely to choose to come back to Plaza el Bosque Nueva Las Condes (to be fair I did not choose this time either my company put me here). Last comment: Breakfast is barely worth going for but the restaurant food overall is good and very well priced...
