Baguales Brewpub — Restaurant in Puerto Natales

We went to this restaurant on the night of Dec.27 at midnight. The restaurant closes at 1am everyday. When we entered the front door, the waitress at the reception was really rude and mean. She told us that the restaurant is full and you cannot go in. Just after she said this, 4 people left the bar and seats were available. The waitress never said anything to let us into the restaurant. We had to ask another waiter to see if we can sit at the bar seats to get some food. The waiter was very happy to seat us. We ordered burgers and beers. Everyone else was really nice except the waitress at the front door. I’m giving this restaurant 2 stars because it was simply a bad bad experience. We had a long day in the national park and all we wanted was to eat some food. It was late but there are a few restaurants open. We came to this restaurant because it has good reviews. The waitress at the front door really made our meal unpleasant. I had a happy day with an unhappy ending. I don’t ask for super good food or super good service. One star as the beer is good and a big selection. The food however was awful, no idea where the good reviews came from. I got a veggie lentil burger and my partner the quinoa burger. The burgers were tasteless, mushy and had the same toppings on both despite the fact they were meant to be different. My partners burger had a black bottom as it was so burnt also and the burgers came with tasteless round hard (burnt) pitta bread things instead of buns despite not mentioning this on the menu. On top of that the onion rings were so raw the batter was soggy and white and if you squeezed it went back to dough! Plus everyone got chips yet we had wedges with our burger that weren't great either (it was late so they could have ran out).

The service was okay some staff were nice and others you would ask for something and they just wouldn't come back. Overall incredibly disappointing and expensive for what you get. Go for a drink but...

Good place on the whole though unfortunately not quite as nice as it could have been. The house beers are good value and tasty (though not incredible, at least to my taste) and they have an excellent beer list - but as it turns out a lot of it isn't available. Apparently they're changing their selection but it's difficult to tell what they have as it's not reflected in the menu (theoretically you can see the available bottle options along the bar, but it can be hard to see if people are sitting at the bar, and there are no prices displayed).
