The hotel has perfect location near the main central square, the lake, supermarkets and restaurants. The staff was the best, super friendly and cool. Rooms were really good and new, the only thing that could improve is their breakfast. It has a very hostel, young vibe, but in a good way. The staff is very young and hip, but friendly and helpful as well. My room had a bit of a view to the lake and snow capped mountains, so that's a plus. The room is spacious enough, bed and pillow were very comfortable and very well decorated. The bathroom is small, but not tiny. The shower area is completely closed in glass. There's shampoo, conditioner and soap available. Also there's a heated towel rack. I didn't notice any thermostat, but the temperature was comfortable, they do have a heater in the room though. Huge windows, lots of natural lighting. Just be careful and stow away the little wooden stool in the hallway near the bathroom (hit my shin on it on my way to the toilet late at night lol) On our arrival, we were told we could get a complimentary welcome drink on the rooftop bar, but we ended up not getting it because the bar closed early (too early in my opinion) before sunset (which is late in the summer) there wasn't any good food option there as well (again, only for limited hours and just snacks). There's a very good restaurant (Bahia Mansa) attached to it on the ground floor where they also serve their breakfast (which I was gladly surprised to have - it wasn't clear on my booking). The breakfast wasn't great though, just two fruit options, breads, cold cuts, oats, tea and coffee, a scrambled egg that looked really bad. Not a lot of gluten free and dairy options. So, apart from breakfast, everything was perfect and I...
Read moreHad a great experience staying here. Very nice and comfortable king size bed. Our room was on the third floor and had a water view. There’s also a terrace and bar on the fourth floor (top floor) with really nice views of the water and city.
What really stood out was how helpful the staff at the hotel was. Before arriving Oscar helped us book an excursion to Torres del Paine - which was $45000/person and cheaper than the booking options we were seeing online ahead of time. We’d booked a glacier tour online before arriving through viator, but a day and a half before it was scheduled it was canceled. Marcos was really helpful with calling around and pointing me to different agencies to try. Unfortunately we weren’t able to find another glacier tour but instead Marcos helped us book a horse back riding excursion. I really appreciate how attentive he was with helping us find something.
Potential things to take note of: I didn’t see an elevator in the building, so if climbing stairs is an issue, I recommend you request a room on the ground floor. The included breakfast is very standard for the area but nothing special- toast, ham and cheese, yogurt and cereals, eggs, pastry, coffee tea and juice. In our room, there was a window between the bathroom and bedroom. It’s pretty high up, so when my 6’2” travel companion was showering I could see his head and shoulders but nothing below that. But it does let light through, so maybe not the best for late night bathroom runs. Wasn’t an issue...
Read moreI really loved this hotel. It wasn't perfect, but it has a lot of wonderful qualities. We visited in early September so their busy season hadn't started yet. The blankets on the bed are fluffy and cosy- perfect after a long day out and about. The aesthetic is cool but still homey. They offer all of the normal amenities. Also a heated towel rack! The free breakfast was a huge spread on the first days we were here when it was busier but now that there are fewer guests, the breakfast is mostly toast, coffee, cake and cookies, fruit, and a small platter of cheese and deli meat. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the noise in the hallway, on the stairs, and the room above can be very bothersome when trying to sleep. We used a white noise app that helped tremendously, otherwise I would have had a very hard time sleeping. I also want to note that there are windows between the bathroom and the room so you can see the head of the person in the shower- maybe you can see more if you or the other person is quite tall! Photo shows my friend in the shower with me taking the picture in the room. It's...
