There's nothing I can complain about Jade Dragon at all. The receptionists give you warm greeting when you arrive their doorstep. Like many high end Chinese restaurants, they mainly focus on private dining room such that there are not many tables in the main dining hall, so having a larger party would definitely give you more flexibility. Needless to say the dining room is well decorated, conveniently with its own washroom. Waiters check on you on a regular interval and service is superb. On to the food, what impresses me the most is that how they can finesse the dining experience as fine as western cuisine in terms of presentation and flow. Simply decide what dishes/dim sum you want, and they can arrange the serving at the right amount and order, beautifully presented. As delicate as a tasting menu I can say. High quality roast suckling pig is usually a criterion of a good Cantonese restaurant, here they give it a twist by topping it with caviar and effortlessly make it one of their signature dishes. The dim sum are very finely crafted as well. Seafood in all forms are excellent as well. I especially like the deep fried Threadfin fish with diluted version of Chaozhou soya bean sauce, where the savory note of the sauce blends perfectly with fattiness from the fish. Abalone with noodles in scallion oil and soy sauce is without a doubt my favorite dish. Nothing fancy here, just getting all the flavors at the perfect proportion, paired with hand made noodles of great texture. If you don't have much time during your stay in Macau, skip the casino, come here.

Jade Dragon at City of Dreams is truly a masterpiece in fine dining and a testament to why it holds a prestigious 3 Michelin star rating. Specializing in Cantonese cuisine, this restaurant delivers an unforgettable culinary journey from start to finish. The amuse-bouche selections were nothing short of heavenly, offering small bites that packed incredible flavor and set the tone for the meal to come. The roast duck was an absolute standout—perfectly cooked with a crispy, flavorful skin and tender, juicy meat. It’s a dish that lingers in your memory long after the meal is over. The hot and sour soup was also one of the best I’ve ever tasted—rich, balanced, and bursting with complex flavors that showcased the chef’s mastery. As expected from a restaurant of this caliber, the service was impeccable. The staff were attentive, professional, and went above and beyond, noticing even the smallest details to ensure a flawless dining experience. Their dedication to customer satisfaction was evident in every interaction. The ambiance was equally impressive, combining luxurious decor with a serene, sophisticated atmosphere that elevated the overall experience. For anyone who appreciates top-tier Cantonese cuisine, Jade Dragon is an absolute must-visit. It’s a dining experience that lives up to its 3 Michelin star status and sets the bar for culinary excellence.

Without a doubt, the best Chinese food I have ever eaten in my whole 47 years. Also the best 3-star Michelin I've been to. My first experience with 3 star Michelin was with Jade Dragon 4 years ago, pre-covid. I have been eager to come back ever since. This unfortunately set my expectations too high for other 3-star Michelin restaurants. This summer I went to every 3-star Michelin in the London area to experience food Nirvana. While the food was good, nothing was mine blowing like it was at Jade Dragon. I was afraid it was a case of initial foodie shock when you experienced something good for the first time and it just seems better than it really was, or my memory was fuzzy. So this week I had a chance to book at Jade Dragon for dim sum one day and dinner the next. OMG, it was beyond expectations. Every dish, my friend and I kept saying it has to go downhill from here, as nothing can be this good and sustain it. But we were wrong! Everything single dish was amazing. This mountain of foodgasm kept lifting us higher and never letting us back down. I can write a book analyzing the experience and the level of complexity of the dishes. We complimented the food so much the manager brought out the head chef, Kevin Au Yeung, for us to meet! Wonderful experience and we will continue to come back every year when we are in Asia.

First class experience all the way. The food, the service and the restaurant design are all amazing. The staff are all very courteous, friendly and well informed on the menu. I have been living in Shanghai/Hong Kong for the past nine years and this is the best Chinese restaurant I have been to during this time. I would love to come here again to also try the dim sum. Definitely worth a visit and as long as you don’t order the special seafood dishes the price is actually quite reasonable for the quality of the food and when compared to other three Michelin starred restaurants.

Food: 4.75 stars Service: 5 stars Environment: 4.5 stars Overall: 4.75 stars Recommendations: Peking goose, scallion oil with bbq pork belly noodles, almond creme brûlée, egg tarts, suckling pig skin with sesame and shrimp

The Peking goose is a must order and you will need to order this in advance. The goose is prepared two ways: one is the Peking g duck style and the other is the leg meat, which is paired with the goose jus and plum sauce. The is is the best version of the dish I have ever had and I have eaten this dish many many times (including famous places in Beijing).

The other dish I really loved which was also the least expensive was the scallion noodles with bbq pork belly. This a upscale take in a classic Shanghainese dish. The noodles are clearly made in house and have an amazing springy texture to them. They are then basted in scallion oil and pig fat to give a rich luscious taste to the dish. The pork belly is no after thought. These two pieces of bbq pork are smoked with a real depth of flavor to them that is hard to describe without actually...
