I went on a Tuesday around 4pm and there was already a line. It did move fairly quickly, but the crowd of customers waiting and hovering for tables made the atmosphere quite unpleasant. I originally planned to take mine to go, but luckily my mom managed to get us a table just as I was walking out. When I asked the barista if he could switch our drinks for dine-in instead, he happily accommodated and was very courteous. The aunties cleaning the tables were also kind and attentive.
The tarts were delicious especially fresh and hot from the oven. The crust was buttery and flaky, while the filling was fluffy and eggy with just the right amount of sweetness. I was so hungry I ended up eating 4 out of the 6 I bought. I had another one a few hours later and it was still good.
The drinks were average—my double espresso was fine, and the Earl Grey was served in a pot with a tea bag. Overall, the tarts are delicious, but the experience could be improved if there were a better system for dine-in customers. It’s hard to really enjoy your food with people literally hovering over your table waiting for...
Read more550 MOP and we left the restaurant hungry!! Better options nearby: Option 1: Shake Shack (same floor) Option 2: Cheesecake factory (2nd floor)
The restaurant has a lovely ambiance. We’ve tried and really liked their egg tartes in their shop at The Venetian Hotel, Macau.
FORGET about the food at this place. It is overpriced and of very average quality.
The pumpkin soup: 2/5 was very light and had an after taste of mushroom. Weird.
The salmon sandwich: 1/5 the bread didn’t taste good, the butter didn’t taste good and the salmon was of average quality and had all the nasty and chewy brown bits and loads of them (normally for a 90$ sandwich, one would except to have a clean cut of high quality smoked salmon ). Prêt à manger has a much better sandwich for half the price (38$)
The margarita pizza: 3/5 is a total rip off as the base of the pizza is a basic (cheap) tortilla and the price of this pizza is similar to that of an oven baked pizza…
Overall, we will only come back for the egg tartes and never for the food. The service was good (10% service charge as pretty much everywhere...
