Lady M is a NYC based dessert specialist that has a couple places in Macau, this one in the St. Mark's Square area of the Grand Canal Shoppes at Venetian. They have open air seating and you can do take-away as well. Opening hours are 11am to 10pm daily.
Interestingly, Lady M is hugely popular in Hong Kong. It is very difficult to find seating at all of their branches. However, they have not been as highly received by the tourists that frequent the Venetian. I've never found them particularly busy and never a queue for seating.
Basically, they are known for their delicate mille-crepe style cake slices which come in a variety of flavours. These are slices with numerous wafer and flavoured filling layers. They are light and delicious. I particularly like the pistachio when its available. They also do a good chocolate tart at times. Their Gâteau Nuage (light version of a NYC cheesecake) is available throughout the year and is really, good. These are light creamy texture with a mild sweetness, mild tart settled on a honey graham cracker crust.
Take-away orders are packaged nicely if you prefer to take them up to your room at the Venetian or other area hotel to enjoy there. They need to be put in the fridge within 1 hour of purchase to keep cool. Lady M is a good dessert option if looking for places to try around the Cotai Strip. Note that their other branch is at Londoner near the Apple Store and across from the...
Read moreRidiculous service. Walked in. Only 2 tables occupied but waitress (Annabelle) said not allowed to sit on table preferred as all reserved because it’s a public holiday. There were no reservations signage at all on any of the said tables. The other male named Joao was very rude and banged the chair in front of us. When I took photo of the signage, he happened to stand there and thought I was taking photo of him. He came over to us and even threatened to call the security if I do not delete the photo from my phone and stood there to make sure the photo is deleted. Which I was forced to delete and can’t show the signage of Lady M. This photo posted shows the first picture I took for the tables that are said to be reserved. How ridiculous is that? A big thank you to Ze, senior staff, who came to explain things to us and apologised to us on behalf of Joao. Kudos to Ze for making the effort to make...
Read moreThe food, coffee and drinks we ordered were delicious, but probably too sweet on the dalgona coffee.
The place was good although too noisy to relax as a lot of people or crowds passed by. Tables can be easily occupied as they have small spaces and you need to line for a few minutes but you can order in advance.
Overall 4 stars definitely will try to have a coffee here again when in...
