Had a wonderful lunch experience at @altobarandgrill not only impressed by their view but also their food and services . Their Chef Gareth Peckham has worked with Gordon Ramsay for ten years and this restaurant took importance in carbon footprint 👣 which i really appreciated, like they replace Tuna instead of Salmon, and they will make sure their sourced is from fair trade and good quality 👌 speaking of quality, they even change their menu every four months to make sure they serve the best seasonal food 😋 . Set lunch 3 courses $288 Starter | Yellowfin Tuna Tuna sliced perfectly and their avocado 🥑 sesame dressing match perfectly with the tuna , super refreshing . slow cooked short rib super recommended !! their home-made dressing is dopeee!! sooooo good~ crispy on the outside and soft tender inside with super tender and juicy meat in one bite😋 i will definitely order this again before they change their menu🤣 | Middle Course | Morecambe Bay Oyster and Scallops with tataki sauce Oyster from Scotland their Scallops is from France They make their own tataki sauce and I really love how they slice up the Scallops, every bite is just right and so freshly made . Main | Roasted Cod promise me you have to try this! best combo with ratte potatoes and shrimp soft and juicy with crispy fish skin , the portion is not too small , perfecto . Slow Cooked Lamb Shank 🐑 sauced with red wine and mashed potatoes 🥔 personally I prefer the Cod fish 🐟 but if you want sth meaty and juicy, lamb shank is your to go choice . they also provide variety of wine 🍷 in bottle and cups as well And a bar at the rooftop which is super chill if you want to grab a drink with fds on weekends worth trying with this price tbh, spacious environment ,services on point with spectacular view its YM approved 👌 . will definitely drop by next time when...
Read moreBeautiful decor but the food was very poor. We went on Valentines Day and it was a set menu, the main course chicken was bone dry which we had to send back to the kitchen and the asparagus used in the pasta was the tough, woody end which is the part you'd trim off and throw away rather than serving it. To top my disappointment, they used those pre-shredded parmesan in a shop bought bag and each uniformed strand sits on the pasta in awkward stiffness - the least they could do is use freshly grated parmesan which isn't expensive to acquire if you buy by the reel load and you would expect a restaurant to do that. I would go back but only to visit the roof top bar and won't order any food - the vodka martini was great.
The quality of service wasn't great either - apart from who I believe was the manager who was professional, other servers were rushing and running around like headless chickens. It felt like a lunch rush at a cha chaan teng rather than a high end dining experience. They serve you as if they want you to leave asap. The reservation was booked for 9pm but they were late and overbooked so we were not sat until 9:45pm - even then there were many people waiting because their reservation was also pushed back -...
Read moreI had a fantastic experience from the booking till actually spending an amazing company dinner at Alto.
The private dinning room has incredible views over Hong Kong, the service of the restaurant manager Berrais and his team was excellent. Already in the planning phase the Alto team was very accommodating (regarding special food menu for vegetarian, drinks, etc.) to our requirements.
For each of the six courses the chef (who worked for Gordon Ramsay before) came out of the kitchen to tell us more details about the served dish. Berrais and the chef kept on joking which was great entertainment as well.
The food was absolutely delicious and nicely presented!
We finished the evening at Alto's rooftop bar just one floor up from the restaurant.
I can totally recommend this place for such a company events!
Thank...
