Come here if you want terrible and unclear service!! I wish I could give this place zero stars but here’s one star symbolising the amount of pain and distress you have caused me!!!!!!!🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶
When the person at the counter asked me if I was a student (NOT MENTIONING THAT YOU HAD TO BE A LOCAL STUDENT TO GET THE DISCOUNT), I said yes, because I was a student, just in another place. So I paid for the tickets with a student discount. Going okay so far right?? WRONG.
When I went in, the security checked my student id and told me that because I wasn’t a local student, I couldn’t get the discount. They never mentioned prior that I had to be a local student to get the discount and I paid for the tickets thinking this. In fact, many other movie theatres (festival walk, moko, etc..) still gave me the discount when I showed them my school id, knowing that I wasn’t a local student by the way😊😊😊😱😱😱 !!!!!
Understandably, I was upset, knowing that they had never mentioned this prior and I asked for a refund. They also did not specify that I could not get a refund when I paid by the way😊😊😊!!!!!!!!! SO I WAS FORCED TO WATCH THE MOVIE THAT I MISSED TWENTY MINUTES OF BECAUSE I HAD TO GO BACK TO THE COUNTER TO PAY LIKE THIRTY EXTRA DOLLARS AND I DIDNT EVEN KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON IN THE MOVIE DAWG😊😊😊😊
Anyways!!! Moral of the story, be more clear when you sell things and don’t be so money hungry!!!!!! Thanks fam!!! Make sure to smash that like button and hit the subscribe...
Read moreI always come here to watch movies even though it might be a little bit expensive compared to other cinemas but the price is justified with the sound quality and being able to charge your phone while watching the movie. House 5 has the most amount of speakers in the whole cinema, and I really enjoy watching movies in Dolby Atmos there. Service wise, it is not too shabby but if you encounter more senior ones, they are likely to bemore friendly. For some movies, you are able to upload your ticket to redeem a QR Code which can be used to redeem gifts at the box office, and this is my favourite thing with this cinema company as I don’t have to worry about not having a gift, this way you are getting some of your money back. Unlike broadway circuit and MCL. Beware of student tickets being local students only, this also applies to MCL. Broadway Circuit doesn’t require you to be local I think, but broadway circuit’s gift quota is usually meagre, but here they have huge amounts of gifts...
Read moreNice location, the house had a great sound system, didn't try the snacks. My Student card from Germany and a Hongkong local (who studies abroad)'s Student card unfortunately were denied even though we already bought the tickets online so we had to go back to the kiosk to pay the difference. We understand the employees were adhering to policies but would be great if they were stated more obviously when buying online because it did affect our overall movie experience. It also felt quite wrong to me, especially as a film student, that international student cards aren't accepted. Students struggle worldwide, especially with the current economic crisis going on. I am sure you of all organisations understand the cultural importance of cinema and hope you will reconsider your policies to the advantage of young people no matter where they are from. Best wishes...
