CHASKA 中環半山堅道58-62號美蘭閣地下2號鋪 好味指數:😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋 抵食指數:✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅ 舒適程度:👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 (十分為滿分) A Hidden Gem of Indian Cuisine in Central

Friday's Night was really a good moment for me to find out the good restaurants. Located in mid-level Central, CHASKA is certainy one of my favourite Northern indian restaurants in Central. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of their dishes.

I ordered Mutton Saagwala ( 菠菜咖喱羊肉, $168) and Paneer Makhani Naanza (牛油芝士印度特色薄餅, $158), and both were delicious and satisfying.

Mutton Saagwala is a dish of tender boneless lamb cooked in garlic, ginger, and spinach. The lamb was soft and juicy, and the spinach sauce was rich and creamy. The garlic and ginger added a nice kick of flavor, and the spices were well-balanced. I enjoyed this green sauce and savoring every bite.

Paneer Makhani Naanza. Naanza is a word combining Naan and pizza that is a crispy naan bread topped with flavorful and creamy cottage cheese cubes and veggies. So it was just like a pizza with an Indian twist. The paneer, indian style cheese was soft and smooth, and the makhani sauce was sweet and tangy. The veggies like tomatos and onions added some crunch and freshness, and the naan bread was crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. It was a filling and satisfying dish that I would definitely order again.

CHASKA is a great place to enjoy authentic and tasty Indian food in a cozy and friendly atmosphere. The service was attentive and courteous, and the prices were reasonable! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Indian cuisine or wants to try...

Been meaning to check out Chaska for awhile. Lots of talk about their Naanza, pizza with an Indian twist.

Was greeted by Rohan who was very welcoming and went out of the way to explain all the nuances of the food.

Got the Cap Plain Dosa, the Paneer Naanza, and the Chicken Masaledaar Curry with Garlic naan. And I have the say, the dosa started us off right! Crispy and the flavor was amazing with the condiments. Next was the Naanza that tasted buttery with paneer and an array of Indian goodness. Definitely didn’t disappoint after all the months of hype. Would say a person can consume one order each.

But thankfully Rohan gave us great advice and we went with one only and topped with off with the Chicken Maseldaar curry with the epic garlic naan. The curry was full of Indian flavors and great chucks of juicy chicken. But what took it to the next level as Rohan’s suggestion of specifically the garlic naan as a pairing of flavors to the curry. The naan was soooo crispy, buttery, and flavorful. Some of the best in HK in my opinion. So much that we got 2 orders hahah

Forgot to mention, I got the mango lassi and the masala chai. Both delicious but the masala chai brought me back to the mountains of Sri Lanka with its flavors.

Overall I highly recommend this spot as one of the top spots on this side of HK. Naanza was worth it and did I mention, that Naan was amazing!!

Sorry I didn’t have pics as my friend and I flew through the food...

Chaska Indian Restaurant, Hong Kong (near Hollywood)

Chaska Indian Restaurant is a cozy spot offering authentic Indian cuisine near the Hollywood area in Hong Kong. The restaurant serves a variety of traditional dishes, making it a good option for those craving Indian flavors.

Food Review:

Biryani: The biryani is flavorful, with well-cooked rice and aromatic spices. While it’s not the most exceptional biryani you’ll find, it delivers a decent balance of taste and spice. The portion size is generous, making it satisfying for a hearty meal.

Chole Kulcha: The chole is rich and tangy, with a good blend of spices, paired with soft and warm kulchas that complement the dish well. The taste is comforting, though it may feel slightly milder than traditional Indian street food versions.

Overall, the food is enjoyable and provides a decent taste of Indian cuisine. Chaska’s convenient location and menu variety make it a good choice for a casual dining experience, especially for those exploring the Hollywood area. While it may not be a standout destination for Indian food purists, it’s a reliable option for a...

Terribly hungry after a morning swim, I opted to have a dosa. Place was empty but one staff member asked if I had a reservation!!! Same staff continued to clean wine bottles & happily chatting away loudly on the phone in Tamil to someone in India. That was not pleasing. Food: Sambhar was absolutely delicious & the dosa crepe was perfect. Chutney: was taken straight out of the freezer & not appetising. The potato masala inside the dosa had RAW onions. As a Tamilian I know that this is not right & the chutney is never served cold either. When I asked the chef about the raw onions, he said but the North Indians like it like this. Jeez this is a South Indian dish!!! Keep it real please. Anyway there are other options for real & authentic tasting dosa in the city and I would possibly head back to Chaska only to try some of their other dishes. Definitely won't be going back there for a dosa. Cheers.
