Line was formed when we got there around 12pm. Sat to the table where all the tables set by next to each other. Restaurant was very tiny so it is underatood. But still very uncomfortable.. managed to order.. 1 lunch course menu and peiking duck with pan cake was placed. Lunch course came with 1 appetizer, 1 main dish, and 1 dim sum. Had sinchuan noodle which is the main dish for the lunch course. Never had this food before but tastes good. And realized that my appetizer didnt came yet. The main dish came before the appetizer. Had xiao long bao, one of the dim sum dishes and it was quite disappointing. It was too dry and sever interrupted in the middle of dining and took dish and soy sauce bowl out.. I would give negative points if I could.. I will never visit this place again. No apology or anything. Left the restaurnt very unpleasantly. I believe serving food to customer with the such mind and attitude is very unprofessional and they do not deserve to sell the food no matter how good the foods are. But food is decent except...
Read moreThe food was very basic and average to be honest. It was a pleasant atmosphere with the full green walls and suited the location under a walkway in Lank Kwai Fong. The fried prawns were appetizing, however, they did not live up to its description in the menu. The worst part of the experience was the bland fried rice. It was very minimalistic, and in some cases that would be good, but this lacked the flavor I expected from the menu description. Overall the most disappointing part of this meal was the combination of the rice and the prawns which is expected by one to be a gravy and rice but turned out to be more of an appetizer and a rice meal. I hope they can improve by either giving combo lunch meals which work in harmony to provide flavor to the customers. I wouldn't recommend this place to someone, but it wasn't unbearable. There are definitely better Asian restaurants...
Read moreThe waitress was lovely BUT the food was bad. It is unjust to charge such high prices for such below average food. $148 for a braised eggplant dish that took 20 minutes (!) to come and had a gloopy sauce that tasted like ketchup. The chili tofu was tough and not spiced well. Your average $40 lunchbox is much better than this and much better value. It makes me question some of the ‘big magazines’ that have reviewed this place as it wasn’t just ‘meh’ it was a joke and unfair for the $300+ price tag. Perhaps they do meat dishes better… or just go to Chilli Figara who deliver quality to match their high prices and who understand Sichuan flavors. All of this said with the awareness that I am fortunate to be able to eat when I want while many struggle. However, restaurants still need to deliver to the standard...
