The Aftermath is one of the most supportive bars in Hong Kong for the local arts scene. Almost every night there is at least one show--comedy open mic, comedy or improv shows on weekdays, occasional quiz nights and even occasionally a play. Weekends are the time for live music, starting at 9 on Friday, usually hosting two, three, or four bands each night. Check to see if they are open Monday. They also have rotating art exhibits in the lobby. Two areas are available. The bar area also has the stage where most of the shows are held. There is no street sign so you can easily miss it if you're not looking for the blue illuminated sign at the bottom of the steps. It's the only place we found with a live band. One annoying thing is service charge when there's no table service or any kind of special service - the customer is paying for and collecting their drinks directly at the bar!
