KonFusion Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

Went on a Monday night for the open Mic, if you're not a friend or regular, prepare to wait for 2 hours plus till you get to sing your first song, we arrived at 9 put our name down at 930, the person in charge said we're number 8 in the line and we waited for more than 2. 5 hours to get on the stage, constantly seeing other people that are friends and regular getting on before us, the guy keep coming over saying we're next for at least 2-3 times which surprisingly we were not, finally got on which I wasn't in the mood anymore, we register 3 songs, sang 2 song and got kicked off for another regular to play before my third song, so we decided to leave instead of waiting, the whole thing was ridiculous, we were trying this place out and hoping to have a good time but it was a total disaster, guess we either didn't spend enough or doesn't know anyone there, the one star is for the cheap drinks they serve, I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. it was a total joke. Went here ages ago. I wasn't sure what to expect at Konfusion but judging by the menu, it had a lot of offer.There were lots of Southern inspired dishes like grits and then you had some Mexican fusion there as well.

Started with the paneer poppers which was interesting as they chose Indian cheese.

The texture and taste was quite good and it didn't need the weird sweet dip.

Next was the prawns on grits.

I ordered it because I haven't had grits in a while and it was mixed with evilicious cheese.

The chocolate cinnamon milkshake was really comforting as it tasted like horchata but with a hint of chocolate.

Regretted not getting the snack platter though as it had Louisana Wing and Jack Daniel wings.

I recently moved to HK from Melbourne and surprisingly came across this restaurant which is near to our apartment. I went there with my family and food was really good, staffs were very friendly and helpful. Set dinner at the bargaining price! We order 2 set dinner, one ribeye steak set and another grill salmon and additional snacks. They have great choice of bar bites, must try. They do have happy hours on drink until 8pm, unfortunately we were there after 8pm and couldn't get the happy hour deals.
