I would like to provide an honest account of my mixed experience at this coffee shop.

I paid over 50 HKD per iced latte to stand there and watch someone fumble around with a coffee machine, clearly not a barista. The coffee ended up being extremely bitter with excess sediment coming up through the straw.

When I was waiting outside I noticed that the shop was hiring new baristas with ‘no experience required’. This provided me with the answer I needed.

The coffee experience was so awful that we decided to turn around and walk back to the coffee shop to give them another chance as I hate to leave a negative review without giving a business the chance to rectify the situation.

Upon returning our coffees were quickly remade and the problem was rectified. It turns out that the coffee is good, not the best I’ve had in HK but good.

The roast beef with new potato salad was tasty with crispy fried potatoes and other ingredients were fresh, but the beef had tendons that slightly affected the taste. On the other hand, the spaghetti bolognese was a highlight - the rich cheese and savory sauce complemented the perfectly cooked pasta, making it a highly recommended choice. Seared scallop risotto with beetroot brought a unique flavor combination, balancing the earthy flavor of the beetroot with the delicate sweetness of the scallops. In addition, the quinoa avocado smoked salmon salad was fresh and nutritious, and the portion was also generous.
