Attention ALL PARENTS in the neighborhood, I strongly advise against taking your baby to this particular restaurant. Although they provide baby chairs, I found them to be extremely unsafe and unstable. Furthermore, the staff displayed rude and aggressive behavior when confronted with this obvious safety issue.
During my visit, my baby sat in one of their baby chairs and unfortunately fell to the side of the table, resulting in a bleeding lip. Shockingly, nobody from the staff came to inquire about my baby's well-being or offer any assistance. To finish my meal, I had to hold my baby, but even then, I was warned not to sit too far from my assigned table.
Upon checking out, I kindly reminded the server that their baby chairs were not safe enough for infants. However, their response was dismissive and arrogant, placing the blame on me for not fastening the seat belt correctly. I explained that I had followed the same procedure they had shown me when placing my baby in the chair.
The quality of the food itself was average, but the way they treated me as both a customer and a mother in the neighborhood was completely unacceptable. I urge any parent seeking a family-friendly dining experience to avoid this establishment. It seems they have gone to great lengths to demonstrate just how unfriendly they can be...
Read moreNo frills Vietnamese restaurant that serves a variety of types of Vietnamese cuisine from regions across the country. Food here is good and is a good place for a quick meal. Will get really crowded during lunch time (weekend or week day) and I would expect to wait for a table if you come after 12:30pm. They do offer delivery through Deliveroo but there is a 15-20% markup from the price in the restaurant.
Food: 4 stars Service/environment: 3.5 stars Value: 4 stars Overall: 4 stars Recommendations: pork chop over broken rice, fried spring roll, beef banh mi, fish cakes, Vietnamese coffee
My favorite thing to order here is the porkchop rice. The porkchop is cooked with lemongrass and served over coconut rice. It is also paired with a cold egg omelette. Really delicious and filling
The spring rolls here are also good and is one of my barometers for a quality Vietnamese place. The pho and Bo bun hue are pretty good but not great and I don’t think the soup noodles are the highlights of this place.
The banh mi here however is quite good and you won’t go wrong with either the pork or beef versions. They don’t serve a classic pate banh mi which is a bit...
Read moreWe had lunch at this Vietnamese restaurant on a weekday. There were no lunch sets, so we opted to try some unique items from their usual a la carte menu.
We ordered two main dishes and one veggie dish to share. The portions were generous, and both the carb dishes were delicious. The banh xeo was crispy and flavorful, similar to what I had in Vietnam. The seafood and meat were fresh and plentiful.
Although this Vietnamese restaurant chain is pricier than other shops in the area, I would recommend it over the no frills shops. The food quality is much, MUCH better.
We were seated in a crowded area, and both sides of our tables were chatting enthusiastically, making it difficult to maintain our own conversation. Fortunately, they left shortly after we were seated. So, note that some spots in the restaurant may be noisy and harder to hold...
