I brought my family there for a Father's Day celebration. This was my second visit to the restaurant and I enjoyed it the first time. My father in law told me that he was feeling bloated and didn't feel too good when he got to the restaurant and asked if he could eat something small or skip the meal. We asked one of the waiters, who then went to check with the manager/owner. Another waitress came to take our order and then offered my father in law the option of just having a plate of sushi, as that was already previously prepared for the booking. We agreed to take it and then all of a sudden, the manager or owner stormed into the room. He told us that if we had a problem with the restaurant and didn't like it here, we could leave. When we tried to explain ourselves, he stormed out the room. We were in absolute shock and other guests were looking at us to see what happened. I was speechless and the whole mood at the table was very uncomfortable. We decided to stay since we didn't want to go looking for another restaurant. The food was good, that did not disappoint. The Japanese waiter was very kind to us and explained each of the dishes. The waitress seemed embarrassed by the situation but was also kind and continued to provide good service. It was unfortunate that the manager/owner blew up on us, especially for the father's day occasion. Unfortunately I don't think I would go back to...

I was really excited to eat here, a vegetarian Japanese restaurant!

A few minutes walk from the Wan Chai MTR, it's on the 9th floor of a building. Once you arrive you're greeted by very modest decor, simple, functional, yet warm and inviting. We had reservations, though on a Monday night there were plenty of seats available.

You can choose from 2 pre fixe menus: omakase (chef's choice) or a hot pot. Both were $368 HKD. We had the omakase, which came with tea and a whopping 7 courses!!! Bring your appetite. Each portion is enough for an individual, neatly plated, and good. The flavors are subtle, not strong in any way. I enjoyed the sushi the most.

I am a bit of mixed feelings on the order of which each dish was served. The food was served with attention to when we were just about finished with the prior dish. Plates were cleared consistently.

Overall, I had a good experience here. I'd be curious about their lunch menu as I'd get to try other things I wanted to order (tempura 🤤). If you want a unique vegetarian dining experience without too much fuss, this is a...

Nice and quiet place to dine! The boss and staff were very friendly and helpful on recommending on what to order. Please note that they only provide set menu so it means you cannot order individually. We went there for lunch as it was cheaper than the dinner set menu. As we had 6 people, we manage to try most of the items on the set menu. You should try the cold noodles it’s really really good and had a refreshing taste to it!! If I am going back there again I would definitely order that bowl of noodles again! According to the boss the menu will change according to season. Do note on the operating hours as they do not take in any customers after the 2:30pm as the kitchen is closed by 3pm. We went for a late lunch which was around 2pm therefore itwasn’t crowded. But if you were to eat there during lunch time you might want to make reservations or go there earlier! Quality and taste of food pretty awesome for a vegetarian...

Oh my oh my this is a great Japanese vegetarian lunch place!! GREAT! Excellent service! Excellent taste. High quality food in a serene ambiance. I’m a vegetarian and not a super fan of Japanese food, because I’ve never been to this place. As of now I’m a fan of Japanese food too. My lunch partner and I ordered all the specials and the luxurious menu. It was a feast! the mochi was the best I’ve ever had in my life!! Finesse structure, not too chewy and a taste of mocha on the inside. Price wise was not too bad for a set lunch in HK. But I was happy to pay for quality food. For tourists: Don’t be mislead by the looks and rawness of the street where this restaurant is located. Building 83 is an easy find. Go up 9th floor as soon as you enter the building and you will arrive in a tranquil restaurant.
