Taco Chaca — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

I LOVED Taco Chaca for a long time, and even though the food arrives cold sometimes I don’t blame them, because it is what it is when food is delivered. What I do have a HUGE problem with is that I found STAPLES inside my tacos mixed with the taco sauces. IT’S SO DANGEROUS and is UNACCEPTABLE. Sadly the staples got caught in the roof of my mouth and resulted in bleeding and wounds. How on earth did clusters of staples get mixed in with FOOD? I’m horribly disappointed because I do like their food, but staples in food is just not okay regardless. I wish I could continue supporting this little taco joint, but I’m so disappointed I’m not sure I could eat food from there again. I rarely write negative reviews but this is a real problem (note: not very pleasing photos are below.)

Thank you for your acknowledgment. While I appreciate your gesture for a complimentary meal, I am not interested. The only thing that I would like to ask your restaurant for is for the kitchen to be tidied up and staff to be aware of the incident so that none of your customers ever experience...

Thoughts on three of the dishes: -Pollo Taco: Pluses: Nice flavor. Topped with fresh-tasting ingredients and slice of lemon. Negatives: the amount of chicken in each was a bit less than a tablespoon, yet the tortilla is about the size of my open hand. At sixty for two, seems overpriced.

-Burrito Carne Asada: Pluses: Good size. Nicely wrapped. Comes with additional onion and salsa topping on the side. Negatives: Unfortunately, it is basically a rice burrito, and the rice wasn't THAT great. The amount of meat is also about two tablespoons, which for an 8-inch burrito is very little. Even sadder, all of the meat was inedible, as it was not even meat, but pieces of meat fat - chewy and unappetizing. Not recommended. Photo shows amount of "meat" from the burrito.

I have been a regular at this restaurant over the last two years but I won’t be ordering from them again.

I found a used staple inside a taco. I spat it out and took a picture of it. Pretty crazy to think I almost ate that thing.

The explanation I got made me baffled even more. I got a call from the restaurant a few hours after I reported the issue to Deliveroo. They said they staple paper bags that food comes in to prevent stealing and it must have fallen inside.

The tacos came in boxes inside a tied plastic bag. The staple was found inside the taco, not outside.

My friend found a review from 2 years ago pointed out that this wasn’t the first time a staple was found in their food.

Sure, the food and the price are good. But I think there might be some health & safety issues...
