The Den catered our Thanksgiving this year and last, and my lord I can't say enough good thing about them. They've also catered junks for my friends and I before and I completely lost my cool each time, at just how good the food was. First of all the food is the best I've had in HK. This year for Thanksgiving we had several courses. First they served appetizers - bass ceviche and then a fantastic salad of some sort. They made us a turkey, whole lamb, honey ham, and all the fixins you can dream off. Every dish was so perfectly prepared and it seems they carefully select every ingredient. Finished off with the creamiest vanilla ice cream and decadent Belgian chocolate brownies - I'm not even into brownies and I couldn't get enough of this.
Second, there was free flow prosecco, wine, and beer. No one's glass was ever empty, our server Jo did an incredible job of taking care of us. Employee of the month right here, this woman was fantastic and made us all feel right at home. Every time we have come to The Den, or TM's by The Den, the service has been unmatched, and I must say that's a bit hard to find in hk. The staff genuinely want to ensure you have a delightful and memorable experience.
Third, the price was great. They are willing to cater the menu to your price range and food choices, and they allowed us to add on another hour of free flow for a reasonable price (so sorry, can't remember off-hand but I'm broke and it was good). As previously mentioned this is the best damn food in Hong Kong, but the prices are very reasonable.
The moral of the story is seriously check this place out. They offer the full package, great food, drinks, great staff great venue great prices. We will definitely always go to you guys for catering!...
Read moreIf you grew up in the UK, a den is a hiding place that could be a treehouse or a place to hide in the garden.
It is always fun going there with close friends and building it from scratch with twigs, pieces of wood and whatever you can find.
This was the reason I was attracted to this newly opened DEN in Sai Ying Pun.
It didn’t look exactly like a DEN but the path leading there certainly felt like one because it was a small quiet road with trees on one side.
Travelling to THE DEN was more convenient than I expected because I was dreading the walk from SYP MTR station but exit C is the shortest path and the elevator was fast.
When you get out of exit C, your almost there, you cross the road and the take the small uphill road adjacent to St Stephens college and your there.
The menu consists of steaks, comfort food and home made desserts.
I know that this place specializes in steaks but there were a few irresistible items I had to order, so steaks and dessert shall be items on my next visit.
My friend started off with grapefruit soda which I was expecting from the can or bottle but it was freshly made!!!!!!!!
First, the grapefruit juice was freshly squeezed into a glass and tonic water was added to give it the fizz resulting in a pretty glass of grapefruit soda with a lovely pink foam cap on top.
After seeing that, I immediately ordered the orange soda which was made the same way.
Both sodas tasted natrual and were thirst quenching.
For food, we had the beef cubes, fish pie, mash, bacon and egg butty and the portions were huge. Everything was simply the best and the owners are really friendly and accommodate to...
Read moreThe steak here is perfect!! We ordered deep-fried chicken bites and medium ribeye 420g for two with mashed potato and portobello mushroom as side dishes.
Chicken bites came first! Outside was really crispy, inside was surprisingly juicy!!! Omg the best ever!!! Love the dipping as well!
We ordered medium steak, came out like medium rare to medium, but really good, so tender and juicy! Mashed potato was buttery, just like a home recipe. The stuffed portobello was covered with garlic and bacon, full of flavor. Yummm!
Finishing our meal with homemade apple crumble and brownie, served with choco icecream!
