I was shocked to find this vegetarian restaurant fully booked on a Friday night—guess I’ve been missing out! Thankfully, I had booked a table, avoiding any panic.
They offers two menu options: cooked or raw, both at $198 (which I found a bit pricey). You order at the counter and pick up your meal yourself. I chose the raw menu, and though the portion looked small at first, I ended up stuffed beyond belief! 😅 My friend went for the cooked menu, and we both enjoyed the variety, with the flavors exceptionally outstanding. I also added a Daily Vegan Cheese with Seed Crackers (Side Dish +$35) featuring Shamenbert with Truffle and a Passion Fruit Cheesecake—both were incredibly delicious.
The Classic Cooked Vegan Set ($198) includes: • Spiced Chickpeas (Red) • Curry White Beans Hummus (Yellow) • Green Crackers (Green) • Smoked Eggplant Dip on GF Focaccia • Spiced Carrot Soup with Fresh Curry Leaves from the Garden (Orange) • Mediterranean Kebabs (Tofu, Zucchini & Bell Peppers, Rosemary, Organic Rice) with Homemade Walnut Pesto (Rainbow)
The Raw Set ($198) includes: • Corn Crackers (Yellow) • Herbed Dip (Green) • Carrot Hummus (Orange) • Pickled Red Cabbage Salad with Pumpkin Seeds (Purple & Green) • Tomato & Basil Gazpacho Soup (Red) • Raw Zucchini Cheezy Pesto Gnocchi with Homegrown Sprouts and Lettuce
The ambiance is serene, with two-thirds of the seating on tatami mats, and the staff encourage soft conversations to maintain the peaceful vibe—perfect for unwinding.
The experience was elevated, likely thanks to French chef Tina cooking that day. A great spot to relax, but book ahead as...
Read moreFood is ok but the service is totally awful. No service at all. Even reserved a table, no one lead you which table is. The waitress just said to pick any table I wanted. There is no proper seat. it has to seat on the ground with so called cushions. The space is tiny. It made not comfortable at all throughout the whole meal. The meal is ok...but nothing really special for that high price. The most important is we just chatted normally then the waitress and waiter came and said we were loud. However their background was loud such that how can the customers communicate with soft voice. Totally expensive without any service restaurants. Lastly their air conditionings kept spraying the water onto me, just like raining....
Read moreYudei is one of my favourite cafes in Hong Kong! It is entirely vegan, with regular raw vegan options across lunch and dinner. The food is consistently great, and makes a point of using local produce with high quality ingredients. There is also a rotating roster of chefs with changing menus, so you are sure to never get bored!
The environment is quiet, comfortable, and especially well-suited for solo diners who crave space and time for themselves. Everything is done with heart and care, so you really feel nourished after spending time there.
Highly recommend for both vegans and...
