A few days ago, I had the pleasure of indulging in the all-you-can-eat hotpot at Master Beef in Mong Kok, a highly recommended spot by my friends. We opted for the Australian A5 Wagyu All-You-Can-Eat Set (澳洲極上和牛吃到飽套餐), which offered a wide variety of delectable dishes:
🍲 牛大人紅燒牛骨鍋 Master Beef Roasted Bone Soup: A rich and flavorful soup base made from roasted beef bones, adding depth and complexity to the hotpot experience.
🍡 As a special treat upon seating, each guest receives two pieces of Australian M9 wagyu beef balls.
🥩 The set menu is a delightful spread, including a wide selection of pork, beef, lamb, and chicken. Notably, the beef options are diverse, featuring M5 wagyu beef shoulder roll, tenderloin, Angus beef, and more.
🦐 Seafood lovers will be pleased with the offerings of prawns, sandfish, and crispy fish belly. What sets it apart is the extensive range of handcrafted seafood pastes, such as Penghu squid paste, scallop fish paste, and octopus pearl paste.
🍗 The restaurant also serves various classic Taiwanese snacks, including crispy spare ribs, Taiwanese sausages, and salt and pepper chicken.
🍡 For a delightful and chewy treat, the restaurant offers sesame and peanut-flavored grilled mochi. The soft and sticky texture is complemented by a sweet and luscious filling. A definite must-try.
🥗 The self-service section provides an abundant variety of balls, vegetables, noodles, and beverages. Guests can also enjoy the option of adding braised pork and white rice to complete their meal.
🍨 Upon settling the bill, each person can choose a dessert of their liking, with options including Haagen Dazs and Movenpick ice cream, as well as black and white sesame tofu pudding.
💰$338 per person, excluding a 10%...
Read moreIf you can’t read Chinese, this hot pot restaurant offers 3 different AYCE options. Each tier serves different types of foods. The higher the tier the more food you get (higher quality). Of course, it gets more expensive too. Prices vary depending on what time you walked in. We chose the second tier and came in at 5 PM. The AYCE itself was $248. You can choose to have 2 different soups by paying extra $50. On top of that, you will be charged 10% for service fee and extra $10 for fridays, saturdays and sundays or $20 for public holidays. Another thing to note is their minimum entry is 2 people. So if you’re alone, you can’t dine in (unless you’re willing to pay the price of 2 people). To order the food, you need to scan the barcode that they gave. If the price is $0, it means it’s included in your tier. If there is a number next to the $, then you’ll have to pay extra. Aside from ordering from the barcode, they also have a self service station. Here, you can get your own vegetables, meatballs, tofus, condiments, etc. There is also a drink fridge filled with plenty of drinks to choose from. The quality of meat in tier 2 was just okay… As you can see in the photo attached, the pork belly didn’t look so good… The spicy broth wasn’t spicy to me. The tomato broth was...
