Mong Kok Night Market, also known as Ladies’ Market on Tung Choi Street, is one of Hong Kong’s most vibrant and iconic night markets! If you’re looking for a colorful and exciting shopping experience, this market is a must-visit! Atmosphere As soon as you step into the market, you’re greeted by dazzling neon lights and bustling crowds. Stretching about a kilometer, the street is lined with countless stalls on both sides, creating a festival-like vibe. The air is filled with the sounds of haggling and the aroma of nearby street food. The market is at its liveliest from 7 to 9 PM, and while it can get crowded, this hustle and bustle is part of its unique charm. Goods Despite its name, Ladies’ Market offers something for everyone! You’ll find everything from trendy clothing, bags, and shoes to jewelry, souvenirs like fridge magnets, portable fans, and adorable Chinese tea sets. Some stalls sell counterfeit brand items, so be cautious if you’re seeking authentic goods. Tech lovers will also find plenty of phone accessories and gadgets. Haggling is a highlight here! Come prepared to negotiate, as some vendors set high initial prices expecting you to bargain. Food While Ladies’ Market isn’t as famous for street food as Temple Street, there are still plenty of tasty options nearby. Try Hong Kong-style bubble waffles at spots like Lok Lok Gourmet Foods or savor local dishes like congee and wontons at small eateries in the side alleys. For a fuller experience, take a short walk to Sneaker Street (Fa Yuen Street) or the Flower Market to explore more of the area’s diversity. Getting There It’s super easy to reach! Take the MTR to Mong Kok Station and use Exit D3 or E2— the market is just a few minutes’ walk away. Bring cash, as most stalls don’t accept card payments (ATMs are available nearby). Pros • Wide variety of goods at affordable prices (if you haggle well) • Lively atmosphere, perfect for those who love vibrant settings • Close to other shopping spots like Sneaker Street and Langham Place Things to Watch Out For • The market can get very crowded, so keep an eye on your belongings • Some items may be knock-offs, so inspect carefully before buying • Always haggle! Start by asking the price and offering a bit below your target Conclusion Mong Kok Night Market is a paradise for shoppers and those eager to soak up Hong Kong’s local culture. Whether you’re hunting for souvenirs, enjoying the thrill of bargaining, or simply soaking in the city’s vibrant energy, this market won’t disappoint. April 19 2025 Saturday - 7pm , after resting a little sa apartment, we decided to check out the Ladies Market in Tung Choi St, which is 1 MTR station away from our place, sobrang layo lakarin if lalakarin lang. Kasi parang sabi ko kay Jedz, before tayo bumili sa Temple St ng keychain or magnet, check muna natin sa Ladies Market baka mas mura talaga dun.
So based on our experience:
Sa Temple Street, meron mag offer example 60 ung keychain set, 20 ung magnet, hanggang 50 and 10 lang last offer nila But in Ladies Market, nakuha namin ng 50 total ng both sets na mern naman sa Ladies Market, sabi ko 50, tinuro ko ung both sets, nag okay sya nung una, but when i gave 50 na, di ata kami nagkaintindihan, sbi nya 10 more, kasi 10 daw ung magnet set, sabi ko, okay i will give na lang back kasi other store offer me 50 both set.. ayun bibigay din naman pala ng 50.. hehe..
Then sa tshirts, ang offer nila dito sa Temple st, pinaka okay is meron 4 for 100, nagmake face ako, hinabol ako okay 5 for 100, 6 for 100, maya maya sabi nya.. walo walo hahaha
pero sa Ladies Market, 10 for 100, but with matching 🤫 na sign
So for me, conclusion, okay bumili ng keychain/magnets/non goods sa Ladies Market (pati mga luggages, bags, tshirts, etc) para syang Divisoria area ganun..
pero kailangan lang talaga libutin nyo muna ung buong both streets at canvas canvas muna bago kayo bumili. tapos ung pinakamagandang offer sa inyo, dun kayo bumili
The cellphone bags in Ladies Market may nakita pa ko na 18 for 100hkd
