Sour Dough — Restaurant in Hong Kong

I went there this morning and was not really convinced by the place.

Space: Looks great with semi outdoor seating and nice vibe (good point). Staff: Staff was nice but organisation looks terrible ... Looks like there is none and staff were running like headless chicken (there were not even lot of clients). Some orders were shouted over the counter for clients to pick them up, some orders were brought directly to the table while some were just sitting on the corner ... So confusing. Coffee: I am extremely picky with my coffee and was expecting the worst when I saw the barrista area... I was however pleasantly surprised that it is not that bad and drinkable. It's pricey tho and for the same price, there are much better options for coffee one-two streets away ... but if you are not too picky, it'll do. Pastries: well that's the big negative point for me. Cookie and lemon verrine were so sweet and creamy it was sickening ... No balance at all in taste and texture ... Just straight diabetes in your mouth with greasy after taste in mouth.. Chocolate croissant was super dry ... A big no for me ... Go to bakehouse, Kayser, bakerman/bottleman but don't waste your time here. Salads/sandwiches: haven't tried unfortunately but It seems they are good from other reviews. May stop by to grab one if occasion arises.

In conclusion, I'd personally not recommend and avoid coming back ... It seems that the products are not up to standards that the nice surrounding would suggest. I am glad I tried tho, but will definitely stick to the numerous better coffee/pastries options...
