Not just the worst fine dining experience I’ve ever had in any country, but the worst dining experience I’ve had in my entire life. First red flag, we called ahead and asked if there was a table for 8 and they said yes. When we walked in the only tables they had were for 4 people so they could only sit us at the bar-type of table where the stools are pretty high (mind you I came with my grandma that’s on a wheelchair). We asked if we could switch to a regular table and even said it’d be fine if we were split into 2 tables with 4 people on each. They refused saying that other people had reserved them all; tables were empty from start to finish of us eating there as shown in the picture. Second and probably the most disgusting (also the main reason we wanted to switch seats) there was a LIVE COCKROACH running around in front of us, right infront of the plate (couldn’t even take a pic bc i was so baffled). We told the server who only said “oh” and snatched it with a tissue, no mention of “I’m sorry” or anything. That really just put me off of eating anything but since everyone was tired I just ordered a salad to get it over with. Salad wasn’t bad but not anything mindblowing, just average. Servers attitudes were also very much unappealing, they were rude, unhelpful and unlike the standards a restaurant, let alone a ‘fine-dining’ one, should uphold. Even asking for a simple tempura sauce was only okayed but wasn’t brought out at all (mom even asked twice). Overall, terrible experience, spent $2500 for a less than average meal with horrible service and atmosphere. Find ANY other...
Read moreFood: 2/5. We went there for lunch and sat at a bar table. We ordered 3 lunch sets, a sukiyaki set and two skewer set. You can tell the beef quality from the sukiyaki set is poor and it was HALF FROZEN when they brought out the dish to me. Can’t believe I paid for this poor quality set for $428. The two skewer sets were meant to be the same. One got chicken thigh and one got chicken wings, without first verbally specifying or confirming the inconsistency. Maybe it was out of stock? It would still be better if you informed them prior to serving vastly different parts.
Hygiene: 2/5. There was a very small scrap on the plate and i tried to rub/scratch it off. And i realized the plate was OILY and uncleaned too.
Service: 3.5/5. After we reverted our comments, they offered 15% off the bill and gave us another free chicken thigh skewer (so it turns out they did not run out of chicken thigh?!) Although they offered the promo and free skewer, they never directly apologize to us and ensure that they would do better. Therefore we will never consider coming again.
Environment: 4/5. Decent environment and where you can get a glimpse of the Victoria Harbour.
Price: 3/5. I had to say it was quite overpriced given the quality of food. It would be reasonable if it was 30% off...
Read moreThe idea to mix all Japanese elements is great but service is very poor given its price. Food is mediocre ( barely meet 3 star), service would be 1 star while environment maybe 4 star. We tried the two dinner tasting menu which cost almost 1500 hkd per person but we felt this is barely a tasting menu but rather an expensive dinner set.
Food wise, the sashimi is poorly cut with the tendon on it that makes it so hard to chew , and no one ever comes back after I give the feedbacks. The melon is so ripe and the wagyu is way too fatty/ oil. The abalone is the only highlight of the menu.
Service wise, the waitress doesn’t know anything about the menu and food, I asked about the food and she always need to check and come back. And when I asked her to clean the table, she didn’t even wipe the obvious soup on the table ?
Drink wise the mocktail is so sweet and the first cocktail is tasteless. Don’t know why in description even highlight the bartender in description.
Environment wise it is quite spacious with the sea view located in K11 Musea.
Honestly for this price I won’t come back again. Maybe the rental is too expensive to focus to hiring / training good...
