A typical cha chan ting in Hong Kong , I went there for breakfast, and while the food was ordinary—the service left much to be desired, so poor!!

After our meal, we realized in the afternoon that we had accidentally left our long level tool behind. My husband returned to the restaurant around 6:40 PM to inquire about it. The place was not crowded at that time, which made the experience even more frustrating. Unfortunately, when he approached the staff and began to explain our situation, he was met with a rude dismissal. Without letting him finish his sentence, the staff member aggressively waved him away, saying “no no no” and gesturing for him to leave. It felt incredibly disrespectful, as if he were a beggar asking for charity rather than a customer seeking assistance. Overall, the terrible service overshadowed the experience. I wouldn’t...

This is a really popular Hong Kong tea cafe in Mongkok. They sell a variety of dishes but I found a lot of customers order the fish on rice or fish with pasta. I ordered the beef pepper steak+fried rice and a coffee. They also do set meals and you can get toast, ham&egg which is common in a lot of of Chaa chan teng. I enjoyed the beef but I just can’t enjoy Hong Kong coffee, it just has a really nutty flavor to it.

The second time I came the rice was really hard and unpleasant to eat so it’s a hit and miss, maybe it depends what time you go

Maybe it’s to local taste? Anyways it’s a nice cafe in a busy area, would recommend , if your looking for a...

Don’t come here if you are not from HK. The guy or owner at the bread shop beside their restaurant is very rude and unwelcoming. Went there at around 10pm to buy polo bun but the moment I reach, the guy there that was talking to his colleague, immediately change mood and become rude and said “we are close” when there is still so many buns available and they weren’t even cleaning the store. Google stated they close at 12am! Even his colleague was shock by his attitude. Damn racist and bad attitude. Because of people like you, give HK community...

Had the baked pork chop & fresh tomato with rice, Swiss chicken wings with instant noodles. Also tried the polo bun. All dishes is quite delicious, baked pork chop with tomato is my favorite followed by the Swiss chicken wings. I saw many patrons order their polo bun, I tried one and it was so good. Crispy crust on the outside and soft bun in the inside. The bun is served warm and pair perfectly with their milk tea. Service wise, don’t expect much. Openly accept it as HK char chan teng typical culture.

I had the best Bo Luo Bao in Hong Kong in Jia Ji Restaurant (I had gone around the area in search of good Bo Luo Baos). I have been to Kam Wah Cafe (which supposedly has better reviews) but their Bo Luo Bao was disappointing. The Bo Luo Bao in Jia Ji Restaurant is soft, fluffy and flavorful. It was recommended by our concierge in our hotel. Even the locals love it! The service is reasonably good and the dining area is conducive.
