The only reason for one stars is the lack of information on the major adjacent construction work and the hotel & Bpoking agents refusal that they are under any obligation to tell you about this construction work beforehand as its 'off site'. ||Major machinery is being employed on immediatley adjacent site involving pile driving and excavations, meaning the hotel and room shake! This is 10+ hours a day between 8am & 6.30pm. ||I agree it is out of the hotels control, however I consider they and the booking agents should have some obligation in telling you about i before you book - they disagree.||Without this construction work I would have given the property a 2* review due to small room size, warn bedding & towels and ok room cleaning. It's not particularly good value for money compared to other hotels I have stayed in, in Hong Kong & Macau. Add the construction noise issue to the mix and it's a bit of a rip off.||On the plus side, the location is very good in the heart of Kowloon for that 'local experience', with plenty of street food, restaurants bars and shops on your doorstep and staff...
Read moreTo be very fair and honest, the location of the hotel isn’t the best. It is located in a quiet and secluded part of Mongkok, away from the bustle so sometimes, you might feel abit unsafe to be walking back late at night.
The room size is acceptable for Hong Kong standards but the toilet is very small and cramped. The swing of the bathroom door leaves no allowance for you to stand in the bathroom.
But I must say, the guests staying on our floors all close their room doors loudly and all with a bang, we were awaken numerous times with the banging of doors early in the morning, and could not fall back asleep.
The bed is slightly on the hard side but the size is okay for couples, not too small.
The room key was also not working which is an inconvenience for everyone because that would mean that everytime we need to open the room door, we will need to seek assistance at the front desk.
Fortunate thing is that the service of the front desk staff is good. They are friendly and very willing to help whenever they can. They try their best. They speak good mandarin and...
Read moreThe ceiling was very moldy and the room smelled unpleasant. The room itself was not soundproof at all. Overall it simply wasn’t clean. The duvet smelled really musty which doesn’t surprise me if the room is basically left to mold. The bed was rock hard and I had terrible back pain. One point although it’s not the hotel’s fault, I still want to mention it: some guests have absolutely no consideration for others. They start slamming doors or shouting in their rooms at night. My personal highlight was someone smoking in their room. Because of the air conditioning the smell lingered in my room for two days. Definitely not great. Smoke combined with mold...yeah...🙃
The only good thing I found was the location. It was not too far from the action, bus/train stations, and shops but also not right in the middle of it, which I enjoyed. I never felt unsafe, even walking back to the hotel at night. The staff...
