Kitchen Savvy — Restaurant in Kowloon

The restaurant provided a peaceful dining experience in the heart of a bustling area, conveniently situated on the first floor of a hotel. Although I arrived at 11:00 AM, the lunch was only available until 11:30 AM. However, the staff were friendly and helpful, and they graciously took our order before the cut-off time.

The restaurant had a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere, with a wide view of Gascoigne Road. The bright and cozy ambiance was complemented by the delicious bread served with olive oil and vinegar. The vinegar had a unique and flavorful taste, while the bread was fluffy and soft.

For my main course, I ordered the seafood pizza, which was surprisingly large and delicious. Although the menu indicated that the pizza was spicy, it was not spicy at all. The restaurant provided chili flakes, which allowed me to add hotness according to my preference. My friend ordered the Iberico pork presa with potato, sautéed apple with butter, and onion cream sauce. She finished the entire dish and commented on how tender the pork was, despite took some effort to cut it into bite-sized pieces.

The soup of the day and dessert were also delightful. The lemon cake dessert was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, although I was expecting a bit more.

The only downside to this dining experience was that the lunch prices were a bit on the expensive side. However, considering the fine quality of the food and the delightful atmosphere, it was well worth the investment.

One suggestion I have is to politely request that the staff introduce themselves to create a better line of communication. This can enhance the overall dining experience and create a more personalized connection between the staff...

This bistro becomes one of my favourite dining and gathering places in Kowloon side. I appreciate the hotel’s effort in featuring local artists works in their hotel. The interior design is chic and sleek. Service staff are super helpful and friendly. We like their pizza most. Steak is excellent too, juicy and tender with lovely sauce. It’s thoughtful that they offer portion of 6oz and 10oz. Two of us ordered from their set lunch menu : start with scallop which was excellently cooked, main course : quinoa with pumpkin and mozzarella, of which the portion was a bit small.

Don’t forget to visit their bookshop and art gallery! Pity that I forget to take...

Friends highly recommended this place for gatherings because of good environment and reasonably priced food , I came for dinner few weeks ago and was disappointed by the noisy environment, a birthday party was taking place, waiter was hurrying us for every course of the dinner , salad was not fresh , beef was very “chewy”! Today I went again for lunch with 5 friends, I had to admit that I was unfortunate at the previous experience! The manager mr Jack Chan , who had to serve all the tables, making coffee etc , yet very polite and efficient, refill our water from time to time, lunch set and tea set was reasonable. Would definitely recommend for gathering...
