The dim sum was tasty and surprisingly good, we even had a lovely welcome by the first waitress. However, the older male waiter who served us was not great. He didn’t even open his mouth to say a word let alone smile. We were not given napkins or any sauces. We had to ask for them and all were delivered without a word said and with a blank face.
Most of these didn’t matter until near the end of our meal, our experience turned really soured. A second waitress asked if we wanted to order any more dishes as the kitchen was closing. We said no as we were still waiting for our last dish, Dan Dan Mien to be served.
Immediately after that we were bluntly presented with the bill and the waitress wanted us to pay right then. We asked her to wait until we finish our meal. She said ok and walked away with the bill. The Dan Dan noodle was then delivered right after that and we were just having our first mouthful of the noodle. The same waitress came back again with the bill, and rudely shoved it in our face while we were still eating. It completely ruined the enjoyment of our lunch. We found this to be appalling customer service.
We certainly will not recommend this restaurant and we will not...

Lei Garden Restaurant group has 10 branches in Hong Kong and the quality of TST East is above average when compare with others.
Located in Tsim Sha Tsui East, just 10 minutes walk from TST East MTR station with is quite convenient for tourists. I brought my Taiwanese friends and had dinner here. One of the must-eat dishes is Steamed Garoupa Fillet with XO Sauce & Tofu. The Steamed Garoupa Fillet paired with the delicious XO sauce brings you the taste of fresh and delicate. I bet you may not resist this addictive dish. BBQ Pork is better than many Cantonese chain restaurants, some Michelin star Cantonese restaurants in five stars hotels are better than it, but the prices are double and even nearly triple. I think it is the best in Cantonese chain restaurants and the price is really affordable.
However, the Crispy Roasted Pork Belly was below average this time, and roasted Peking Duck was average which I believe preorder should be made.
To conclude, my friends were happy and satisfied...
Read moreWe visited specifically to try dinner and compare the consistency and diversity with the Singapore branch. The food was fantastic! Highlights included the Peking duck, silky smooth tofu with assorted veggies, and the soup of the day. However, the star of the show was the preserved meat sausage clay pot rice - warm, fragrant, and delicious to the last crunchy bite.
The staff were extremely friendly, particularly Connie and Anthony, who were helpful and chatty. They even gave us tips on places to visit in HK. We finished the meal with a satisfying dessert round, featuring red bean soup, hot almond cream, and guilinggao.
Overall, we had a superb time and highly recommend this restaurant. The food is consistently good, and the quality justifies the price. You won't regret it - do come and experience it...
