We were ordering two of the $20 waffles and I told them we would not like any packaging, the cashier lady agreed so we proceeded the payment. After some wait our order arrived, with 2 nice paper bags.
Then we had a pretty long and unnecessary debate about whether I can have the waffles on my bare hands, without the packaging.
The supervisor came and said for hygiene reason the waffle being served cannot be touched by customer's hands --- while I saw many customers eating with their fingers around me.
I then told her the cashier lady had agreed with my request before I paid. At first the cashier lady didn't want to admit it, but later the best answer came from her, "I thought he was joking!" Such a funny way to deal with business!
As I insisted I do not want to have any packaging, the debate attracted many people around, so at the end the cashier lady seemed to be annoyed and released the waffles on a tray with an angry face, I happily grabbed the waffles away and enjoyed them with the harbor view.
The waffle became even more crunchy/ crispy after cooling for a couple of minutes, I would say the quality is very good therefore I put 5 stars for the food. However, I can also buy very good ones at $12 or less at many other places with my bare hands with very understanding shopkeepers. (Actually I had more than 10 purchases from their other stores with bare hands.)
If you want to receive potential wrong order please visit this store, since whatever you ordered can be a joke for them, they might serve you anything based on their own understanding. For me, maybe not again...
