OOMAKI — Restaurant in Kowloon

I have some comments about the service I received on 26 Feb 2023 around 5pm. It was non peak hour with very few customers. I was with my 2 very young kids on my own with a double umbrella stroller. I requested to sit at the counter but not the general food court area because the counter is more secluded and confined. I don’t have to worry about my kids gone missing. I folded the stroller and put it on the floor. When we were eating an employee passed by and uttered a very impatient “tsk tsk” sound. This is extremely rude. If the employee has an opinion or needed adjustments on certain things he should politely ask me. So I can make changes. Making a sound is rude and does not solve any problems. My judgement on the food may be impaired because of the unpleasant experience. I think the food is as good as many other random japanese restaurants in hong kong. It didn’t impress me. My daughter did not like the fish roe on her California roll so money is wasted. I didn’t get diarrhea so I guess the food is...

Very disappointed with the service. My Q number was R194, time ordered at 9.03pm , waited 5min the screen flashes 197 then my number was not shown.. I was sitting right diagonally across the stall waiting for my number and notice why the tray was not collected.. then another number take away 198 was called.. that was about 9.20pm.. I went up to the counter and was shocked to see the paper and that's my food. The rice and soup was left unattended and the lady was speaking to another person right next to the bowl of rice. I questioned why my number was not flashed and the lady in specs claimed she did. Then I demand to change the rice and soup and she was reluctant initially till I raise my voice. She unwillingly went to change my rice. I was too angry and hungry to take the soup. Seriously as tourist, I am shocked to see such service in this tourist...

Absolutely horrible service. The cashier staff took her time and kept making customers wait before taking their orders. Then this person who claimed to be the dishwashing staff cut to the front and the cashier staff once again left her post to bring her to her station. When I pointed out she could have taken my order first she rudely replied "I have a lot of work to do, if you do not want to wait you can eat somewhere else" （你唔想等你咪食其他囉). Then when my husband went over to ask for extra pair of chopsticks, she slammed a pair down on the tray. Fiesty attitude! Not sure why anyone would hire her for this job.
