Prince Restaurant — Restaurant in Kowloon

Summary: Long wait for the food, very little food, lottery in how much food you get, and expensive.

We were three people all very hungry looking for a restaurant when we went into Prince. There was food for 1000 dollars, but also food for 140 ish, so we decided to eat there. I ordered pan fried sea bass, one of my friends ordered ribs and the other some sort of fried rice with shrimp. We were concerned about the amount of food so we asked and the waitress assured us it was a good amount of food. When we placed our orders it took around 30-40 minutes for the food to arrive and we didn't get it at the same time. I got a 5x5 cm piece of fried sea bass and nothing more, no vegetables, not rice, nothing. The only sizeable amount of food was the fried rice, which was 138 on the menu, but 168 on the receipt. I was told that it was catered for Mainland tourists, therefore I'd never visited it before. What has changed was that I've received some cash coupons, $3,000 @$500 from 1881. I had no choice but to use them up before 31/01. This is my second time there and overall is acceptable to me. Let me finish the rest of my coupons($2,000 left) I shall spend it on dinner and update everyone. The real test I guess would be whether I would still go using...

Dim sum are average given the price they are charging but the worst is the atmosphere, it has this very cold atmosphere. You don’t feel welcome in this restaurant. Especially the male waiter has very bad manners and is swearing behind customer’s back. Given the location and prices, this is not acceptable. The only reason we came is we got coupons from Heritage 1881 but overall this is a sad place. There is so much better...
