I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Portuguese restaurant in Macau. The restaurant itself was cozy, with only a few tables, but it had a very unique and special decor that caught my attention immediately: a tree hanging from the ceiling! This gave the place a rustic and charming feel, which I loved. The restaurant served a variety of Portuguese-style dishes, which were perfect for sharing. While everything we had was delicious, the standout dish for me was definitely the sautéed mushrooms with Portuguese ham. The mushrooms were cooked to perfection, and the ham added a savory and slightly smoky flavor that complemented the earthiness of the mushrooms! The other dishes were also fantastic. The mini snails were seasoned just right, and the quail eggs were a nice addition to the meal. The sardines were fresh and perfectly cooked, and the pasteis de bacalhau were great. The service at the restaurant was also good, with the staff being attentive and friendly. The prices were rather reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. However, I would suggest coming early or booking in advance, as the restaurant is quite small and popular, making it hard to get a table if you just walk in. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a unique and delicious dining experience in Macau. The food was amazing, the decor was charming, and the service was top-notch. If you’re a fan of Portuguese cuisine, you won’t want to miss this gem of a restaurant!

3 Sardines is a very good Portuguese tapas bar situated along Rua De Sao Roque in the St. Lazarus District of Macau. Opening hours are 5pm until late daily (closed on Tuesdays). It is a bit hard to find by just using a paper map of Macau so you may want to pull them up on google maps as well. This is a fun little place in a quieter neighbourhood around 10 minutes walk from the crowded areas around the Historic Centre of Macau. Worth making reservations, particularly on weekends and public holidays. During our recent weekend visit, they were full up and had to turn away quite a few who tried walk-in visits. Food menu is a nice range of small plates that are great for sharing. They have a good drink list as well with local Stout, strong sangria and even Ginjinha based cocktails. Atmosphere is a blend of antique, throw back and eclectic while Portuguese music is being played. Service was very friendly during our visit, a bit overworked with only two wait staff on hand on the occasion. Overall, we had a great time at 3 Sardines and will eagerly look forward to visiting again for pre-dinner round of drinks and tapas during future trips to Macau.

To put simply, this is first class food at premium economy prices. A petiscos restaurant with quirky and cozy decor, such as a hanging tree above diners' heads (think Laputa in Ghibli's Castle in the Sky). This is a fantastic place to unwind after a stressful week. The secret is out - the restaurant is fully booked, with a steady stream of customers quickly replacing just-vacated tables. Great plating, even better tastes. Obrigado to the owners who brought a slice of Portugal to Macau.

We had a great experience at this restaurant and realised that they have the same chef of other amazing places in Macao. Appetizers (Octopus, Portuguese Cheese and salted mushrooms) were great and the codfish very creamy. The typical "Pastel de Natas" as a desert is a great option. The restaurant is small, but very cozy and comfortable with great decoration. The service was very attentive and we felt very well received. They have a great wine menu with nice Portuguese options.

I love this papas so much. Located in the romantic and art neighborhood of center Macau, a Portugues style with decoration from 50 a70 of 20 centuries. You will find this tapas bar very very special. The foods are good taste, small portions but suitable for ladies. If you wanna to sit in the TAP airline seat (taken from old flight) or the chairs of cinema of years of 60 from last centuries, please make reservation!!!!!
