Rico's — Restaurant in Sé

The old lady working at the restaurant really needs to learn to improve her service. My paying with a credit card does not mean a sulky face without any appreciation of my business.

I came to this restaurant next to my hotel hours after landing in Macau without any local currency. I asked before entering if credit cards would be accepted. I was told yes but was not informed of any minimum spending requirement on credit cards. I spent a total of 188, short of the required 250 minimum credit card spending, which was not disclosed to me upfront. I negotiated to pay with the card. The old lady was visibly unhappy in the situation. No thanks or goodbye was said, after I handed over my VISA card.

The same night when I needed to look for dinner, I would have eaten at this convenient location next to my hotel, had the service been better. But alas, I walked another five minutes. Bad service =...

2025 August 4.5★ Family run Macauinese restaurant with some amazing locals flavors. 馬介休球 （4件）$58 Fried potatoes with cod. Oddly, this doesn't sound appealing or appetizing, but it's very good. Savory from the salted minced cod inside a mashed potato and fried. Would recommend. 燒雞釀飯 1例 $162 Stuffed hen with rice and roasted. Not often you'll find this dish with macau flavors. Rice was soft and flavorful, the hen was salted and wasn't salty. Very good. 燴 /焗海鮮意粉 1例 $89 Normally sometime very typical, however, this was perfectly tangy, sweet, mellow and creamy. Very good. 馬介休炒椒菜 1例 $85 Salted cod stir fried with fried garlic and cabbage. Very very good. Would recommend. 薯蓉青菜湯 1例 $35 Potato and spinach soup. Interesting. Very good.

Sorry, but just another tourist trap Portuguese restaurant. The stuffed chicken was dry and real small. Most things fried. No bread and no salad served with any dish. Sorry that is not Portuguese. The pork chop was only thing decent. There are much better Portuguese restaurants in Macau. There is a roast chicken restaurant (Chinese) next door that is good.
