Credit the Portuguese for planning numerous squares, gardens and parks in Macau, somethign you simply don't see much of in this part of the world. Jardim de Vasco da Gama is one of these parks, one of a handful in this area of the city. Named after the Portuguese navigator and explorer, it is a small, square shaped square just off the small Rua F do Amaral, where you can find a small playground area for children, landscaped shrubs, a few trees and anchored by a statue and bust to Vasco da Gama installed here in 1911. There are a few park benches here as well. It is a decent square if you are staying at Hotel Royal or if you are passing through the area in route to attractions northeast of here and need to stop to rest your feet. Otherwise there are other better parks, gardens and squares in the area. We prefer Jardim San Francisco, next to the Grand Lisboa is you are staying near to the Historic City Centre. Another nicer park option is the very good Lou Lim Ieoc Garden, 5 minutes away, northeast of Tap Seac Square. There is also the Flores Garden where you catch the cable car up to Guia Hill. We'd suggest these green spaces first to visitors of Macau

Well landscaped park opposite to hotel royal macao....bust of Vasco da Gama is the central highlight... Couple's can hang around with ample seating and privacy... A small children's play area is within to keep the kids engaged... located in the heart of the city. Named after the famous Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama, this park is a peaceful oasis in the midst of the bustling city. The park is well-maintained, with well-manicured lawns, trees, and flower beds. The centerpiece of the park is a large statue of Vasco da Gama, which stands proudly at the center of a large circular fountain. Surrounding the fountain are several benches, which are a great place to relax and take in the scenery. One of the unique features of Jardim de Vasco da Gama is the presence of several peacocks, which wander freely throughout the park. These beautiful birds are a delight to watch, and add to the charm of the park. Overall, Jardim de Vasco da Gama in Macau is a lovely place to visit for a peaceful break from the city. Whether you're looking for a quiet spot to relax or a place to enjoy a picnic with friends or family, this park is definitely worth a visit.

Small park but very nice to hang out for a while. This park is close to our hotel, surrounded by small building and stores, but very easy to access this park. The monument of Vasco da Gama at the center of the park. There are children play ground on this park. Children are so happy to play. Some bench and open area, usually teenager come here to practice their dance move. This park is open for 24 hrs.
