Sei Kee has been around since 1965 and is a popular place for foodies visiting Macau to try their pork chop buns as well as their famous claypot brewed coffee and tea. You can find them just off Rua do Palha in the Macau World Heritage area.
Charcoal brewing coffee is age old practice in Macau neighbourhoods and Sei Kee has stuck with this local method for decades. You can watch them straining and brewing drinks at the shop. I prefer their cold coffee (MOP 20) best.
The method used to prepare coffee results in a creamy texture and silky finish, coffee flavour is moderately strong. Its pretty good, a nice change of pace from traditional western style coffee. Drinks are sold in a takeaway bottle so you can enjoy your drink while browsing the area streets or sampling Macanese snacks at the pastelerias on Rua do S. Paulo.
