Indo-Pak Curry House — Restaurant in Sé

TLDR- Horrible experience. Would not recommend. The food was subpar and the server was rude, stubborn and indifferent.

Receipts attached in case they claim we never visited their restaurant to get this review deleted!

Detailed review-

The food we were served was cold. We had asked for the food to be less spicy and the food served was full of green and red chillies. When we discussed this with the server, he argued that the chillies are garnishing.

Drinks were served after we were done eating the main course. When we asked to cancel the drinks as we were done with our meal, the server behaved extremely rudely and said that we should have mentioned that we needed our drinks before the main course.

One of the dishes (a curry) we ordered for main course never arrived. When we were finished with the main course, after multiple follow ups with the server, he claimed that the missing curry is under preparation and would arrive in a few minutes. Ultimately, we asked that they cancel our order of the said dish.

The overall behaviour of the server was not something you’d like to encounter or entertain while on a vacation. So my advice would be to go for any viable alternative rather than...

Apparently it’s pretty spacious on the upper floor of the restaurant, but maybe it’s already full so we were seated on ground floor which has three small tables with very limited space. The owner’s daughter can speak Cantonese.

We tried the butter chicken with rice and paratha. Food looked authentic I guess. I thought butter chicken would be spicy but it’s not spicy at all, and the chicken wasn’t dry. The taste was not bad imo. Fried chicken noodle was pretty normal, you can go for spicy or not spicy. Lemon tea was pretty much negligible.

I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want to try Asia food particularly Indian, Pakistani or even Nepali. It’s in a corner and the dine in is located upstairs, not a huge space but the food and the service is 5stars. The staffs are very welcoming and keeps checking if everything is okay. Thanks Vinod for your Service 😊 We are vegetarian and the options were plenty plus the food was very delicious. The quality as well as the Quantity of the food was worth every penny.
