A small and humble shop serving Cheung fun (rice rolls). The batter is applied onto a piece of large cloth and steamed together, along with the fillings. It’s a sight to behold at the kitchen. The owner is super accommodating although he is the only one working at the shop. We topped up our prawn Cheung fun and egg Cheung fun with generous peanut and soy sauce and it was the very comfort food that every Cantonese person craves. The egg steam rice roll is really smooth and tasty, but since there ain't much seasoning itself, of coz you may add your own flavors by the self serviced sauce bottles but still, it would be better if itself have more flavor. A typical small shop which provides rice rolls and congee. We ordered 及第粥 and 蝦腸. The rice roll was not as thin as advertised on the video found on the internet. And the prawns were not as fresh as expected. The toppings in the congee were okay but I would prefer a thicker congee base.
