海底捞 外滩店（上海三十八店） — Restaurant in Shanghai

We made an impromptu decision to have dinner at Haidilao (海底捞 外滩店) on a Sunday night. We arrived at around 7pm and waited approximately 15 minutes for a table, which was relatively quick given how busy it was.

The food quality was excellent and consistent, as expected from Haidilao. In terms of service, it seemed the staff were slightly overwhelmed, likely due to all 71 tables being fully occupied. Despite that, they remained professional and courteous.

The highlight of the evening was definitely the noodle-pulling performance — entertaining and skillful! Overall, it was a great dining experience, and we’d recommend it to anyone visiting...

This really is prime entertainment hot pot. You'll enjoy your time here for sure. Make sure to make a reservation, though you can have your nails done during the waiting time. Food is very good, you can choose from a lot of ingredients, sides and snacks. There's highlights like a hip hop guy throwing noodles around and into the soup. For our first dinner in Shanghai, we decided to eat at Haidilao Hotpot located near Nanjing road. It was crowded and the line was long. Good thing our guide reserved in advance. We were ushered to our seats and we ordered right away. Thankfully service was fast. We got our dipping sauce from the condiments counter and enjoyed our meal with unlimited drinks.
