Upscale. Red lighting ambience, wall posters are sexy/erotic. Drinks are expensive but match the atmosphere. Outside lounge area view excellent view over bund. Really killer view. Went at night. Even when it's raining you can sit just under the roof and look outside (no glass or wall). We had 1 drink and the moved on because we wanted to see multiple places. I had a long island and I give it a 6.5/10. Too much coke and the taste was off. One of the ingredients was either missing or odd.

Although it's not the highesst, but it's definitely my favourite rooftop bar in Shanghai. Nice atmosphere with a great view on Pudong Skyline. Nice DJ sets and many expats there to spend time with. Parties are unforgettable there. Also, visiting the bar give you a chance to enjoy the history of Shanghai Golden Era, as it is located in the Chartered Bank Building building. Number one spot to bring guests to in Shanghai. Great location in the classy Bund, with a full view of the financial district. Never bought a drink here - why bother when they're so expensive and the bartenders don't give a damn about the quality. But we loved the music here, great mix of Pop and hip-hop. The tables are very expensive, I recommend contacting a promoter before going to enquire about nights where you can get free entry.

The signage on the place says KEV not bar rouge, it’s a bit of a tourist trap. We ordered edemame and peanuts and it was as if someone had kept them in the fridge over night they came to the table almost frozen. We ordered a drink each and some pizza and after 45 mins we’re told we need to order more otherwise they would need us to pay and leave. On the plus side the music was great but I would not recommend this place

One of the better roof top bars overlooking The Bund. Fantastic views and photo opportunity. It's on the 7th floor and you take a lift to the 6th, then stairs to the rooftop. Cool funky decor and nice beats suiting a trendy crowd. On Saturday night there is a 100RMB cover charge, but this doesn't seem to deter many.

Imagine the feeling that you have on the Bund, add a cocktails and some great music with that and you have Bar Rouge. You need someone to pinch you if this is real when you are there because it is simply breathtaking! Incredible view over the Shanghai skyline! Drinks are not overpriced, quite decent prices.
