On a business trip to Shanghai, I found this Moroccan restaurant at The Bund based on a recommendation from my Moroccan friend. The restaurant’s interior is designed in a high-end Moroccan style, with all the decorations imported from Morocco. Even the spices used in the dishes are sourced from Morocco, making the flavors truly authentic. The beautifully crafted tagine pots, which are handmade in Morocco, add to the authenticity. It’s clear that the owner is Moroccan.
Located in a prime area at The Bund, this is a genuinely halal restaurant. My colleagues were all very satisfied. The prices are slightly on the higher side, but still within an acceptable range—after all, Shanghai has a high cost of living, and properties in this area are extremely expensive. The location is excellent, right by The Bund, with a beautiful view. There are many five-star hotels nearby, making it a great place to take a stroll after a meal. I highly recommend this restaurant! Read moreAs someone who has traveled to Morocco, I have only one word to describe this restaurant: "mashallah!" This is a Moroccan eatery that's extremely fastidious about both style and taste. The ingredients are carefully chosen in strict compliance with halal standards, all hailing from Morocco.
I ordered several representative dishes, with the lamb Tajine being my absolute favorite. It flawlessly marries the fresh, savory smell of lamb with the sweet flavor of fruits, creating a mouthwatering medley of tastes. Also, I'm truly grateful for the warm service provided by the staff. Their attentiveness and friendliness made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
In brief, this is one of the most satisfying Moroccan restaurants I've ever visited. I'm definitely inviting my Muslim friends to savor these amazing delicacies here in the future. It's a dining experience I'm eager to share with them, confident that they'll be just as...
Read moreVery very expensive and small portions! I came here with 3 friends on a Sunday night. My friends ordered tagine but I ordered the kebabs. I got 5 small kid size kebabs with very small portion of rice. All of that for rmb299. When I complained the waitress said it’s enough for one adult but it definitely wasn’t. I had to share my friend’s tagine to fill myself up. A mint/lemon drink for rmb88. Tagines for rmb299. Coke for rmb 48. Baba ganoush rmb150. This is over priced food for average quality. Will not be coming here again....
