I was hesitant to visit this restaurant because it seemed like the typical overpriced spot owned by a celebrity, with little gastronomic relevance. However, since it replaced Club Colombia—one of my favorite restaurants in Bogotá—I decided to give it a shot.
I went for brunch with two friends, and while the house remains beautiful with tasteful decor and good music, making it a nice place for family and friends, the food was disappointing. We ordered the waffles with poached eggs and the avocado toast with stracciatella.
My friend's waffles were just okay, but the poached eggs were poorly served, spilling all over the dish. My avocado toast, however, was the biggest letdown. The bread was soggy due to the excess of melted stracciatella, which also had a sour, spoiled-milk taste. The poached eggs were shapeless and messy. I asked for a replacement, and they brought me pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon. Unfortunately, the bacon was overly greasy and unappetizing, and the eggs had an odd color.
The reason I'm particularly critical of restaurants like this is that they charge high prices, yet Bogotá offers an incredible variety of excellent dining options, solidifying its status as a gastronomic capital. With so many great places to choose from, wasting time and money on bad experiences like this is frustrating.

Read moreThe food was good. We had entrañas and the picanha. The risotto de limon was extremely good. Starters were pulpo and ravioli. All very good, but not the best and very pricey if compared to other places. We went to better places in the area, with better food and service and they were not as expensive as this one.
Now the service. Horrible. Our waiter was very cooky, must be the Beetlejuice suit. We felt very uncomfortable here, the waiters were gossiping while staring which I found extremely rude. I guess service is just like the place name.
The funny part is, that this place was not on my list of restaurants to visit. It just happened to be close to the hotel and open late in...
