My favourite lunch in my months of travelling Latin America! So good that we even had to go back the next day (which we never do…).
Margie, the amazingly talented chef, trained under a French chef hence her passion for cooking in this style. Her attention to detail, flavours and great ingredients is so apparent, and her joy and love for cooking shines. She was so happy to see us come back the second day and even asked for our feedback on a newer soup recipe.
In total over our two visits we got the following, with a small note on each: Caprese crepe - SO delicious, light, with a massive whack of tomato flavour from the sauce, freshly sliced, cherry tomatoes AND sundried tomatoes. So, so good. Bacon, egg and avocado crepe - perfect, salty and crispy bacon which was a beautiful juxtaposition to the lightness of the sauce and avocado. Jardinia crepe - every bite was different depending on what you got in that forkful! All delicious, and a nice healthy lunch compared to the majority of other places! Menú del día - 20k which includes juice, soup, your choice of grilled main with delicious accompaniments (seriously that fried ball of something was so so good).
Good luck to the team in whatever...
Read moreAmazing place! I usually don't go to " French " restaurants when abroad but I didn't regret my choice to go! My crepe (Caprese) was absolutely excellent. As it was a busy day and the orders were coming a bit late, they gave us some bread and homemade pesto, OMG - both were amazing! My boyfriend had the veggie lasagna (he is very critical about lasagnas) and he said they were the best lasagnas from a restaurant he tried! The sweet crepe with cacao/sesame/peanut is also to die for! The 3 juices we had there (maracuya, mango and grape) were wonderful. The waitress was a delight (she is from...
Read moreOur favorite restaurant in Guatape. Small family owned restaurant. Our server provided great friendly service. Our family of four got three different crepes and a sandwich and all were delicious. I ordered a chicken/cheese/ crepe that was baked in a ceramic dish like lasagna which was AMAZING. Prices were very reasonable . It started raining at the end of our lunch and our server let us hang there and play cards until the rain passed. If we stayed in Guatape longer we definitely would have returned for a...
