Zona Prosalud centro de estilo de vida — Restaurant in Guatapé

This is my fifth time visiting Guatape and I am always searching for good vegan restaurants. Zona ProSalud was not here the last time I visited, so I was excited to give them a try. I am so glad I did. Not only is it the BEST VEGAN restaurant in Guatape but it may very well be the best vegan restaurant in all of Antioquia, Colombia. The restaurant itself has a nice decor that is warm and inviting. I love the fact that the kitchen is visible through a glass window. You can see the love that goes into the preparation of your meal. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. The quality of the food is well worth the menu prices and the portions are filling. Ok, first of all, please ignore the recent review by “mariah dye” because this lady clearly couldn’t recognize tasty, wholesome vegan food if it slapped her in the face. I am from Canada and have no idea who the owner is, so her assumption that all the people leaving good reviews (almost everyone but her) must be friends of the owner is just silly.

This restaurant is an absolute gem. Everything is natural / organic and the flavours are just incredible. I’m neither vegan nor vegetarian and I still ate here twice, because my body felt so good and nourished after feeding it such nutritious food. We went last night and then again today because we wanted to try some more dishes. I can highly recommend the lentil burger and both pizzas. They are phenomenal. We arrived just after 1pm and we were told that they finished the daily menu already, so we picked quinoa bowl and burritos with potatoes. While waiting for our food, couple of staff members sat at the the table next to us and started eating the daily menu- I understand that everyone needs to eat but it was not nice to experience that. But okay, no problem. Problem was that two dishes came in completely wrong time, first quinoa bowl and when one person already finished it after couple of minutes burritos came with super hard(not done) potatoes. In the end the staff didn’t consider us much, even while paying the girl talked on the phone and charged us the service fee without even asking.
