123Wok Laureles has several clearly labeled vegan options, which is always a plus. I started with the Vietnamese Rolls, and they were light and fresh, just how they should be. The shiitake added a nice touch of sweetness, and the veggies kept it crisp. But the real star? That peanut sauce 🤤. Loved it.
Then I had the Yasai Sushi Roll, made vegan by swapping the cream cheese for tofu. Not the best roll I’ve had, but I appreciate the effort. I’d recommend seasoning the tofu a bit—it would make a big difference. Still enjoyed it, though. Later, I realized you can order just half a portion, which is great if you want to try it without overcommitting. Don’t be a piggy like me 🐷.
For the main, I had the Veggie Tacos, and let me tell you something. They were insane. The mix of eggplant, mushrooms, water chestnuts, and crispy vermicelli, all wrapped in fresh lettuce? Absolute perfection. The way they cooked the veggies was out of this world. Highly recommend, vegan or not.
Service was solid, as expected. The ambiance was surprisingly luxe but still affordable. Definitely...
Read moreThis place has one of the worst service i’ve ever had in medellín. The service is incredibly slow, the waiters are not that friendly. Despite being clean, and having a nice decor i did not really enjoy the food.
We’ve had the Vietnamese rolls, which were not that tasty and incredibly expensive for their size and the amount given. Then i did ask for a fried rice my way, to be honest their onions were burnt the rice was incredible oily? And it just ruined the whole dish. The korean fried chicken came cold, it waited too long on the shelf. The only thing I truly enjoyed was the kung pao chicken, the kung pao chicken was really tasty spicy just like i like it but it wasn’t enough to save us from this terrible experience.
The place is very expensive compared to the service (we waited well over an hour for the food to finish) and what they offer, i believe you should save your money and go...
Read moreThey try to be a high class asian fusion kitchen, but don't succeed. For us, it seemed overrated. We waited twenty minutes to be seated because it was very busy (not their fault). After we ordered, the drinks and food arrived quickly. My thai green curry though tasted bland, and the rice was cold and dry. We liked the Vietnamese spring rolls. Edamame was okay. The top ones were seasoned nicely, the ones at the bottom of the bowl were a little bit soggy and didn't have seasoning. The decoration seemed like a mix of different styles. Some walls didn't have any decoration. Maybe it's modern, we didn't like it that much since it didn't fit together for our taste. Also, we had four different waiters. It didn't seem very coordinated. In the end we paid over 100 000 Pesos for a mediocre dinner. It's not bad, but I would...
