For lack of a better place to watch NFL football, I returned to Hooters for the second time in 5 years..... What a mistake! The place was not busy and after entering and sitting at the bar I sat for 10 minutes, with nobody even bothering to look at me, even though they were five or six girls just standing around the cash register. Finally I walked over to them and asked if I might order something. A girl came around into the bar area and I ordered a beer, and she promptly poured me 2/3 of a mug. I let it sit there for a while waiting for the phone to settle and to see if she might come back into the bar area, but when she didn't I flagged someone over, and asked if I might get a full beer. Her answer was they don't pour full beers! After perusing the menu for a while I decided I wanted to order some wings, but of course nobody was paying attention to me until I waved my arms in the air. I ordered wings and asked the waitress to make them crispy. They came out undercooked. When it was time to order a second beer I had to wave somebody over because apparently there is nobody that is the bartender inside the bar area. Deciding to move on to a better service establishment, I asked for my bill. It came back with a 5000 peso tip added onto it, and I asked the waitress if that was standard practice, and she said yes. So I gave her the cash and she came back with incorrect change....they shorted me a few hundred pesos. As I was leaving I stopped at the hostess station where all the bills are paid and asked the hostess if it was common practice to add $5,000 propina for terrible service. She told me no it wasn't. She then called the waitress over and scolded her for adding 5,000 pesos to my bill, and she refunded it. I have no problem tipping for good service, and tipping well, but I refuse to tip for no service! Between the undercooked wings and the terrible service it's apparent that there is no training of the staff for...
Read moreI had one of the worst dining experiences at Hooters in Medellin and would not recommend it at all.
My partner and I went there last night to celebrate the 4th of July, drawn by the nostalgia of their beautifully breaded chicken wings from my younger days.
I generally avoid writing bad reviews, but our experience was terrible. Here’s what happened:
We arrived around 6:45 PM and were seated immediately in an almost empty restaurant. We requested physical menus instead of using the QR code, and it took the waitress over 10 minutes to bring them to us, despite the restaurant being nearly empty.
Our order was taken 18 minutes later: the margarita special (2x1) for 40,000 COP and a 20-piece wing and fries combo. After waiting over 30 minutes, I had to remind the bartender about our drinks, which we finally received about 5 minutes later. In total, it took 35 minutes to get our drinks.
A table that arrived more than 10 minutes after us received their food faster, while we waited nearly 50 minutes for ours. We ordered breaded chicken wings, but they were barely breaded, as you can see in the photos. When I asked the waitress if they were supposed to be breaded, she confirmed they were.
The menu showed curly fries, but we were served regular fries. Overall, the food was just okay.
The waitstaff seemed more attentive as more people arrived, especially since there was a COPA America football match that evening.
When it came time to pay the bill, we found they had charged us for an extra order of 20 wings and an order of celery and blue cheese, nearly an additional 100,000 COP. Always check your bill if you decide to go there. They corrected the bill after I pointed it out, as shown in the photo.
I’m completely disappointed in the service...
Read moreHorrible experience !! I should have read the reviews before coming here. It is all bad.
Extremely bad customer service. Came here for lunch on a Monday, and it was very empty. After 20 Minutes of sitting down, I had to flag down a server to come by our table to take our order (buffalo shrimp appetizer, 2 orders of wings and chili fries).
Another 20 minutes later, she brings us a bottle of regular coke, although I had ordered Coke Zero. Server was clueless and not a single time was she paying attention.
A staggering ONE hour later our main order comes (before the appetizer), which was not properly sauced up as we had indicated this. I ordered chili fries, and they had decided to bring me regular fries (without even telling me this). The reason was the kitchen didn’t have the ingredients…. Ok ! Why not tell me this ?
Finally the buffalo shrimp appetizer comes without any sauce !! Just fried. The waitress couldnt care less and had no explanation or apology.
Disastrous experience. Clearly nobody here understands their job or even wants to work. Imagine if it was busy !
170 mil for absolutely horrible food and service. 0/10 zero. Stay home and eat fried eggs. See photos for...
