Rude, aggressive staff with standard food. Nice menu but all sparkle and no substance!
Avoid if you have high standards and want to hold businesses accountable for delivering food and services that they charge premium prices for.
Served two dishes; pancakes and fancy hotdogs.
The sausages served with the pancakes are low quality fatty and with a grainy texture. I sent the pancakes and the accompanying sausages back after one bite. After 10 minutes the waiter returned and proceeded to argue with me that the sausages are of the highest quality. I said that’s your opinion; it doesn’t matter anyway as the food is not here I have no idea where it is you have taken it away; it’s not good in my opinion please remove it from the bill.
The waiter argued with me defending the dish saying chef thinks it’s fine if you want it boxed you can take it. This was over Google translate as he stood next to my table.
I will add that this all happened whilst I was feeding a new born baby a bottle and my husband was attempting to finish their dish whist other diners watched in disbelief.
After 20 minutes sitting waiting for the waiter to return; I went to the establishment where all the staff were dismissive and had an attitude, a man with grey hair handed me the phone with a woman on the other end who said she was the manager. The woman who spoke English did not understand the situation and thought I was complaining about the wait for food. I explained that that’s not the case, I sent the dish back, haven’t seen it for 30 minutes by the time of this call and would not be paying for it. She proceeded to defend the quality of her food and called me rude and said I was free to leave. Aggravated by this I passed the phone back and attempted to leave the restaurant as we felt uncomfortable and the staff was beginning to gang up on us as a group.
I was confronted by three men as we tried to leave with my baby and buggy. I then said look I’m happy to pay for what we ate, just not the pancakes that have disappeared and not returned that were not good quality. I paid my bill and left!
All I did was send a dish back, one that disappeared for over 30 mins with no trace. Any establishment that would expect a customer to pay for that shouldn’t be in the hospitality business. Their behaviour, lack of service and attitude was unacceptable.
This establishment is not family friendly, staff under pressure become aggressive, confused and confrontational. The establishment should stick to serving evening drinks and not serve substandard bar food masqueraded as quality produce.
Perhaps I caught them on a bad day; but we as a family will not return is the establishment! I hope the owner who I spoke to reads this and understands that all I wanted to do was not pay for. Dish I didn’t eat or see for 30 mins and now reflects that the way we were treated by her staff is not ok. It’s not ok to intimidate, argue and be aggressive with traveler’s and their young families regardless of any language barrier.
Do not serve food if you do not expect it to be criticised or sent back and pay your customers some respect. I’m sure the owner will defend her staff thats her opinion but regardless intimidation and aggression by staff towards a young family can never be justified, especially over some pancakes!

Read moreWorst experience I ever had at a nice restaurant in Medellín .. 12:30pm only person in the whole restaurant waitress was cleaning in between taking care of me .. I ordered the ribs which if you red the description I posted it says it is a rack of ribs which in America is at least nine bones more like 12 bones .. it said it came with French fries and it said it came with corn on the cob .. I understand there’s a language barrier.. The waitress asked me if I wanted a salad.. I never said anything about a salad so that alarmed me.. And I went on translator and I told her that it says it comes with french fries fries and corn on the cob I don’t want a salad she said ok .. When they brought me my plate It was not a rack of ribs It was four pieces of ribs not a rack.. and it was not french fries they were undercooked baked rustic potatoes.. They didn’t bring me the corn on the cob Instead they brought me some type of avocado salad.. I explained to the waitress that I told her twice I didn’t want salad and that is said on the menu it comes with corn on the cob .. What did she do she brought me back a little cup with Heated up corn kernels.. If you don’t have corn on the cob don’t advertise it.. If you’re not gonna give me french fries with my plate when I ask for it three times don’t advertise it .. Don’t advertise a rack of ribs when you’re giving someone four pieces Also these ribs were boiled.. Absolutely no char or grilling to them.. super basic ribs .. And the potatoes were undercooked you couldn’t eat them.. This picture is how I left the restaurant.. I ate maybe two undercooked pieces of potatoes and three ribs.. wasn’t even worth finishing .. terrible experience I don’t recommend this...
Read moreI am from New York City and I was AMAZED with this restaurant!!
Food: Incredible. I have been to many many excellent breakfast places in Manhattan and this place was EASILY just as good as them if not better than most. I was honestly blown away by the presentation and the unique combination of flavors in each of our dishes. Pictured was the fruit bowl that we started with. All so fresh and the honey they provided had a tiny amount of spice which was so delicious. My girlfriend got the Eggs Benedict and it had a mustard based Hollandaise sauce which I had never heard of but was incredibly delicious. I had two types of vegan toast one avocado based the other shiitake mushroom and both were SO good and fresh.
Atmosphere: Beautiful and quiet. There were trees all around providing nice shade and the occasional leaf that fell to the ground just made me sigh in happiness.
Restaurant: The place was clean and had the quint “cafe” feeling of a place you would find in West Village, NYC. The bathrooms were very clean and everything was organized so nicely.
Service: Our waiter was so very friendly and as soon as he heard me speak (I cannot speak Spanish) to my girlfriend (from Cartagena) he immediately spoke English to me and I really appreciated that. He was very kind and helpful with our menu questions.
If I could give this place 6 stars I would. If you have the chance you NEED to go here for breakfast. The lunch menu looked so good too and if the breakfast is anything to show for, I am guessing their lunch is...
