Pioneros Pizza — Restaurant in Medellín

We usually order half-half pizza wherever we go. Always the pizza shop charge us for the price of the more expensive pizza that we ordered. We did the same with this place, one large pizza with half Margherita type and half vegetarian type. One of those pizzas was 48,000 & the other one was 51,000. So ideally the pizza should be priced at 51,000. But we were charged 60,000 for the pizza. And on top of that they put a service charge of 10%. It was not even a non-vegetarian pizza to pay that much. It was totally a rip-off.

When we asked about it, they said it’s a fixed price of 60,000 when you order a half-half pizza. Well, then it should be mentioned on the menu, or the woman who took our order, should tell that to us when taking the order.

We will never go back to this place. If you’re going to this place just make sure to ask them the correct price before you place the order. They...

The pizza was hot and fresh. It was quite delicious! The flavors of both the pizza and the drink were spectacular. I asked for a beverage containing Red Bull. One employee said they don’t have Red Bull, but another employee quickly said, “no worries, we can get a Red Bull for you!” You can tell they used lots of creativity to make the drink and it tasted as great as it looked! All of the staff at this pizzeria are super friendly and I don’t have any complaints. I definitely recommend eating here. It is well worth it to every last detail such as the great choice in music, the location, the cleanliness, and the modern-style look. 5 Stars...

I usually make the effort to try different pizza spots when traveling. The reviews and pictures made me give this place a shot. Unfortunately the pizza failed to deliver. I know the NYC standard can’t be applied in Latin America but I think a few adjustments could be made to improve.
