There are so many great things to say about this place, I don’t know where to start. 5 stars is an understatement for this place, they deserve 10 stars. When my husband and I went on vacation to Costa Rica, we were worried that we weren’t going to be able to eat fully vegan. We found this place Karma towards the end of our trip and fell in love. The restaurant is small but the decor and set up is beautiful. We tried almost everything on the menu, everything is absolutely delicious. I have nothing bad to say, only everything good. Everything was made fresh and was very thoughtful. I wish this restaurant would come to New York. I don’t buy out because there aren’t many Vegan restaurants or options when eating out. The food on the menu would make any non vegan go vegan. My only recommendations is to expand on the sandwich options and make the Mac n cheese more cheesier. I don’t have a favorite item, all of the food at KARMA WAS AMAZING!!!! When I return to Costa Rica I am definitely coming back here. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. You don’t have to be vegan to taste great, fresh and delicious food. Their alcohol beverages are the best I have ever had in my entire life. Mojitos are my favorite and no other restaurant or bar can top this place. Their iced coffee is better than the American Starbucks. Wish I could have taken this place back home with me. I visited Jacó for 2 weeks in February and March 2024 and went to Karma every day of my trip (except for Wednesdays, that’s the one day of the week they’re closed)! The food is DELICIOUS and the menu is very well-rounded. They have salads, sandwiches/burgers, pastas, smoothies, coffee, cocktails, etc. and they have breakfast and lunch/dinner options. My favorite breakfast item is the Tofu Scramble bagel, and my favorite lunch/dinner option is the Tofu Sandwich (the Chick’free Salad was also delicious). The staff is very nice and the place is very cute and well-kept. They have air conditioning and a small patio with outdoor seating. The prices are good and the serving sizes are generous. I love that when I go to a place it is better than what I expect. This restaurant is one of those. The food is incredible and it is clear that they really have put a lot of effort into each recipe and getting the ingredients that they use. If you are vegan, vegetarian or just want to try something different, this is the place. I highly recommend everything, from the starters to the desert. I couldn't find a plate that made me want to criticize something.
