Tiki’s Seafood Monteverde — Restaurant in Monteverde

This place has a lot of potential, though they really need to get a few basics right.

Food: I cannot understand the need for a restaurant to rely on microwave for cooking. Both my shrimps and my partners octopus was cold and I’m almost certain they were both cooked in the microwave.

Service: although my Spanish isn’t stellar, it really shouldn’t be this difficult to get their own signature poke bowls right. The gentlemen who served us had no idea how to take order for poke bowls. I had to repeat several times what I wanted and had to also guide him on how to take my order. Even with all this he still managed to get my order wrong.

Atmosphere: since the theme here is Tiki, it would do them good to try and match the atmosphere accordingly with the music. I am not sure why they had violin artist in the background. This made the already awkward experience even more...

Excellent! Great service from Luis. We had the poke style spicy salmon “tacos” in a seaweed and crunchy rice wrap. The fish ceviche with passion fruit was great with tasty patacones. The seafood soup (we chose with cream, but you can get it in clear broth) was a little bit sweet and loaded with veggies and seafood - delicious! The presentation of the food was really nice. They obviously put a lot of thought and care into developing the menu. They offer (build your own) poke bowls, sushi, and other Hawaiian and Asian options. Indoor and covered outdoor seating. Hidden Gem with Amazing Food and Service

We had an incredible dining experience here! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh ingredients, generous portions, and flavors that were spot on. We ordered the seafood rice (arroz con mariscos), shrimp tacos, and veggie sushi, and each dish exceeded our expectations.

The service was just as fantastic. Our server, Dayana, was sweet, attentive, and made our meal even more enjoyable. We were so impressed that we're already planning to come back tomorrow!
