The day we spent in Monteverde with Tony was great! We've visited Curi Cancha Reserve where we've seen a toucanet, quetzal and a lot of other birds, and also a tayra. Tony told us a lot about the place and the animals, and we had a lot of fun there. Then we had a coffee break and went to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve and walked there for several hours. It was great to walk through this magnificent forest and experience its unique atmosphere, and Tony told us about all the plants and the cycle of life in the forest. After that, we had a bigger break and Tony picked us up again in the evening for our night walk in the Monteverde Wildlife Refuge, and even though it was raining we've had so much fun! Tony was able to spot so many living things, and a toucan falling asleep is definitely something to remember! Tony also made us some great pictures of the red-eyed frog. At the end we were exhausted, but happy, it was such a great experience!

I took two excellent private tours with Tony while I was in Monteverde. He was recommended by the local family with whom I was staying and I'm glad they did. Tony and I went on a night walk during which we saw some incredible animals including a sloth, two snakes, an armadillo, and others. We also went on a private early morning hike that was also amazing. He started by showing me a Toucan nest on the way to the park and we were able to see a young bird waiting to be fed. Throughout, Tony was an incredible guide who obviously loves Monteverde and its nature and wildlife. He is incredibly knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting facts and details.
