Chicken on the Run in Quepos is a wonderful local spot—not fancy, but clean and welcoming. It’s buffet-style, and you’re charged for what you take, which worked perfectly for our group of 17 (including 9 kids). The food was fresh, delicious, and authentic Costa Rican fare. Everything was so good it was eaten before we could even take pictures!
The staff spoke very little English, but we managed just fine and truly appreciated the reasonable, non-tourist prices.
A special highlight was meeting the talented artist who painted the food pictures inside and the beautiful mural at the entrance of Manuel Antonio National Park.
